Nico's POV

The four campers stayed a while longer. I sat awkwardly in my bed, exchanging glances at Paige. Once or twice they would try to include me in the conversation. It was a nice gesture, but I just didn't feel like joining in. I twisted my skull ring around my finger. It was a nervous habit of mine ever since I was told that Bianca had died.

Lou Ellen excused herself, saying that she had archery lessons in five minutes. She gave Cecil a warning look before leaving. A little while after she left, the children of Hermes said their goodbyes as well. Cecil and Max had something planned - probably a prank. Alyssa followed soon after.

"How about that check-up you owe me, di Angelo?"

"Fine, let's get it over with." The blond smirked, and I stuck my tongue out childishly.

Finally Will was done. It was quite boring, with him being asked numerous questions about how he felt and all that doctor shit. But I didn't mind if it meant hearing his voice. And yes, I was aware that I sounded like a sap.

"I just have to reapply the bandages now." He told me. I nodded and stuck my arm out for him to inspect. Slowly, he unraveled them and revealed the claw marks left by Lycaon. A cream was applied to it and I looked away, not wanting to see its condition. A fresh set of bandages was wrapped around it.

"You're looking much better, Nico. There's a lot of improvement on your arm, but it will leave a scar."

"It's not like I already have a shit ton of those." I chuckled. I'd spent about a year in the Labyrinth, resulting in a cuts that would later turn to scars.

Will didn't think it was funny.

He raised an eyebrow at my comment, "It's time for you to rest."

"What about our little talk?"

"Sleep first. Doctor's orders."

I leaned back onto the pillow and closed my eyes.

"But I'm not tired."

Will sat himself at the edge of my bed - he sat there a lot. He was facing the opposite direction so that I couldn't see his face. I heard him clear his throat.

When the moon fell in love with the sun
All was golden in the sky
All was golden when the day met the night

When the sun found the moon
She was drinking tea in a garden
Under the green umbrella trees
In the middle of summer

When the moon found the sun
He looked like he was barely hanging on
But her eyes saved his life
In the middle of summer

In the middle of summer
All was golden in the sky
All was golden when the day met the night
Summer
All was golden in the sky
All was golden when the day met the night
Summer, summer, summer, summer
All was golden when the day met the night

So he said, "Would it be all right
If we just sat and talked for a little while
If in exchange for your time
I give you this smile?"

So she said, "That's OK
As long as you can make a promise
Not to break my little heart
Or leave me all alone in the summer."

Well he was just hanging around
Then he fell in love
And he didn't know how
But he couldn't get out
Just hanging around
Then he fell in love

In the middle of summer
All was golden in the sky
All was golden when the day met the night
Summer
All was golden in the sky
All was golden when the day met the night
Summer, summer, summer, summer
All was golden when the day met the night

Summer, summer, summer, summer
In the middle of summer, summer, summer, summer
The middle of summer, summer, summer, summer
The middle of summer, summer, summer, summer
In the middle of

And just like the first day, I fell asleep to Will's soft voice.

-

"Why?" I whispered, pulling the sheets back over my head.

"Why what?" He tugged them back.

"Why wake me." I shivered. It was cold without the blankets to cover me.

"It's time to get up." He replied. Next he grabbed the pillow from under my head.

"But Will, it's early!" I sounded like a whiny bitch, which was a little embarrassing.

"You slept all day, Nico!" Will retorted. But it was true. I had gone to sleep at around 11:30 in the morning, and now, according to the son of Apollo, it was 6:30. Apparently the campfire starts at 7 and I only had half an hour to clean myself up.

"Five more minutes..." I slapped his hand away from me.

"Nope!" Will grabbed me underneath my armpits and lifted me up like Simba from Lion King.

"WHAT THE FUCK!!!" I squirmed around.

"Nants ingonyama bagithi baba. Sithi uhhmm ingonyama."

I hung limp like a noodle, "Those are actual words?" I was dumbfounded.

"Yes, Nico, there are actual words to the Circle of Life."

Will shook his head and set me down on the floor.

"I thought it was just someone babbling."

"It's Zulu."

"Good to know."

"Can you get dressed now? Hazel came in and brought you some clothes."

Will pointed to some folded black clothes on a chair. They definitely looked like they belonged to me. I made a mental note to thank Hazel later. I gave Will a 'get out of here' look. Almost immediately, he blushed.

"S-sorry. I'll give you some privacy."

"Thank you."

I watched as he left, and maybe stared at his ass a little too. I was in a rush, no thanks to Will, so I hurriedly put on the skinny jeans and shirt. My Converse were still under the bed, so I got on all fours and got them.

I didn't bother with my hair. It never cooperated.

Pushing back the curtains, I stepped out into the hallway. Will was leaning against the way. When noticing that I was finished getting dressed, he stood up straight. Was he ogling me?

"Ready to go, Death Boy?" He linked his arm with mine and lead me to the door.

"Yeah." I couldn't hide my blushing face.
