Chapter Seven
I didn't know if I would put all of my faith in the magic trio bringing Lovino back. I just had a feeling, that something would go wrong. It might have just been my fear of Britain for all I know. But looking at the three in the house Lovino and I shared in Rome, something just seemed off.
"It'll take us a few days to set up for the spell." Lukas had told me. "You might want to go to your home in Venice, for the time being."
So that's where I was, at home. I didn't know what the magic trio was doing. But I didn't really care. I was looking at maps to see if I could find out where the country graveyard was. Just incase the magic trio failed.
"Where do you think it would be, Lovi?" I asked the three parts of Lovino's soul that was beside me. He opened his mouth like he wanted to tell me, but he couldn't. No words would come out.
"I can't tell you, because I don't know." Lovino said. I frowned slightly and went back to looking at the map. My bet was probably Russia. Somewhere up north where it was cold.
Or maybe China. The country was one of the oldest after all. It would make sense for dissolved countries to go to the oldest country. Or at least it made sense in my mind.
"China or Russia? Which one do you think I should try first?" I asked glancing over at Lovino. He looked at the two options for a moment. I could tell he was thinking a few things over.
"How about China? I don't want to go to the vodka bastard's house if you don't have to." Lovino said and I nodded. Ivan scared me too. I didn't want to go to his house unless I had to.
"So China it is. I'll pack and leave tomorrow." I said as I rolled up the map. "Plus Japan might be there so and I'm sure China won't do anything to me if Japan is there."
I put the map away, up on the shelf and went upstairs to pack. Lovino followed watching me put new clothes in the backpack. Along with the notebook and pencils. They had proved to be a bit helpful so far, so I wasn't planning on leaving them here.
"Lovi." I said looking over at him. He seemed a bit concerned but said nothing. But I knew that he was listening. "Will you stay with me tonight?"
Lovino nodded slowly. "Of course. I'll be here as long as I can be you idiot." Lovino never called me a bastard. Idiot was about the only negative thing he ever called me. And it didn't offend me at all, it was just how Lovino expressed himself.
"Yay!" I said and hugged him. But I had to pull away when I heard the phone ring. I pouted slightly as I pulled away from my brother and went over to the phone.
"Ciao." I said simply as I answered the phone. I was a bit shocked to hear Arthur's voice on the other end of the phone line.
"Hello Feliciano." Arthur said and I froze slightly. Even just talking to him over the phone scared me slightly. But I quickly gathered my courage. Talk to him for Lovi, I told myself.
"Sí, what is it?" I asked curiously. What was going on there anyway? How was the spell working out? Or did it fail already?
"Right to the point, I see. Well we need you to go to Russia." Arthur said and I could feel as if my heart stopped. Why did I need to go to Russia?
"Why?" I asked. I knew he could hear the bit of fear in my voice. Anyone probably would be able to make it out.
"Well, the spell requires a sunflower picked by Ivan. We would make it so one of us three could go and get the flower but none of us can leave here. We're all simply too busy." Arthur said and my heart sank.
"I- I guess I'll go then." I said. That way I could also ask Ivan if he knew anything about the country graveyard. I'm sure if someone had the country graveyard in their country they would know.
A country could feel it when a different one stepped onto their land. So wouldn't it be the same if a dissolved country stepped on your land? But then I paused. I couldn't feel Lovino's presence on my land, could I? But then again I probably wouldn't have noticed since I've been so distracted lately. Like I hardly noticed when Ludwig and Elizabeta were coming to visit.
"Great. Well we won't make you leave today, since it's already too late. Tomorrow then?" Arthur suggested. I nodded even if Arthur couldn't see me through the phone.
"Alright. I'll leave tomorrow." I said aloud so he could hear my agreement. With that he told me to have a good night and hung up the phone. Letting me wonder, what had I gotten myself into.
"Who was the bastard on the phone?" Lovino asked. He looked curious and I knew he wanted to know who it had been that spoke to me. And why I sounded so scared.
"It looks like there's been a change in plans. We're going to Russia."
