Chapter Fifteen
Spinning around in a circle I realized I was surrounded by many Lovino's. What was this? Was it some kind of joke? If it was, it wasn't funny.
I had found four parts of his soul. I only needed to find one more. What part of him did I have to find? I couldn't seem to remember at first.
"Okay well, the Ib represents the heart. The Sheut is the shadow, Ren is the name, Ba is the personality, and Ka would be the vital spark. Most souls do not split like the Ancient Egyptians originally thought, but country's souls do." Gupta had told me.
His Ba. That's the part of Lovino I needed to find. Suddenly all the Lovino's made sense. I had to try and figure out which one of them was actually Lovino.
I looked around again, studying each Lovino that was close. They all didn't seem to be here. More of if in their minds they were caught in their own reality. It was a bit weird and funny to watch.
One of the Lovino's was curled up in a ball, tears streaming down his face. I wanted to go check if he was okay. But I couldn't. I had to find the real Lovino.
I was a bit confused when I spotted Flavio in the bunch. A part of me wanted to rush forward again. Luciano. He wanted to go to his brother. The only one Luciano seemed to have a soft spot for.
Somehow I managed to turn away from Flavio, no matter how badly Luciano didn't want me to. I had to look at the other Lovino's. I had to find the right one. I was scared I'd pick the wrong one.
There were two of them that seemed to be arguing with each other. One seemed to argue that he loved Spain more. But the other argued that he loved me more. It was so out of character for Lovino to do that. So I dismissed the two right away. Not that I would admit it, but the one that was arguing that he loved Antonio more, it hurt a bit to hear that.
"Now is not the time." Luciano hissed. He was right. I couldn't dwell on that right now. No matter how much it bothered me.
I spotted Lovino's chibi in the crowd as well. He seemed to be standing in front of someone. Like he was trying to protect them. It reminded me I time like that.
I had been sweeping outside of Mr Austria's house. Antonio and Lovino had come to visit that day. But I was told I wasn't aloud to play with my brother until after I was done my work. It sucked, and I just wanted to get my work done so I could play with Lovino. I didn't get to play with him very often.
Suddenly someone came up to me. Looking up, I saw Holy Rome. I smiled slightly at him. It was nice to see him. But suddenly my view was blocked. Lovi was there standing in front of me.
I had never known why Lovino had done that. I still didn't. But I guess it didn't really matter. That was in the long ago past.
There was another Lovino that was lying on the ground. "Take me home you bastard." He said tiredly. I could remember him saying that to me when we had to go to school for that little time.
I didn't know which one was the real Lovino. Some of them seemed so out of character for Lovino. But others seemed to be so much like Lovino. But there was so many of them that seemed to be Lovino. And it really didn't help that parts of me wanted to run to every single one of the Lovino's...
That was it. So many seemed like Lovino because they were Lovino. Even the ones that seemed out of character, like the crying one. It showed all sides of Lovino, not just the one that always showed. Lovino was someone that was actually quite complex despite what others might think.
"Is that your final answer?" A voice boomed. It seemed to be coming from everywhere at once. I couldn't help but flinch slightly. It had been unexpected.
Most people might hesitate when someone asks if that was their final answer. I did that a lot. I always doubted myself when people asked me that. But not this time. This time I was certain this was the right answer.
"Yes, final answer." I said confidently. No hesitation. No doubt in my mind. This was the right answer.
"Very well." The voice said. There was a sound of one big clap and everything went black. A quiet whisper was there. "He'll be waiting for you."
I slowly cracked my eyes open only to close them again. The bright light seemed to blind me. "Turn it off." I mumbled, it was hard to talk with how much my throat hurt in that moment.
"Feli?" I heard Elizabeta ask. She seemed shocked to hear me. Why was that? I was fine...
Suddenly I remembered. That was why my throat hurt so much. Moving my hand up, I could feel the bandages around my neck. But Elizabeta grabbed my hand, pulling it away from my neck.
"Feli, why didn't you say anything? Ludwig and I could have helped. You didn't have to do that. We all know you're missing Lovino but-" Elizabeta stopped talking when I sat up. She let out a squeak, not expecting me to get up so quickly.
"Lovi, he's in his house in Rome." I said, but my voice came out hoarse and quiet. Elizabeta looked at me sadly. Like she didn't want to tell me he wasn't.
"I'm sorry Feliciano, but he faded." Ludwig said. I looked at him and shook my head. He wasn't gone anymore. The voice said he'd be waiting.
"No, I brought him back. He's alive." I insisted. I could tell by the looks on their faces they didn't believe me. Of course they wouldn't. They didn't know what I had gone through to get Lovino back. They didn't even know I had been trying to do so.
"Call the house. He's there. I swear." I said and Ludwig sighed. He knew it was the only way to get me to calm down. He pulled out his phone, dialling Romano's number.
I quieted down, watching Ludwig expectantly. They phone rang and I listened carefully. "What the hell do you want stupid potato eater?" I could hear Lovino's voice through the phone. I smiled widely at that, before laughing slightly at Ludwig and Elizabeta's reactions.
"Lovino?" Ludwig asked. He didn't seem to believe it. How was this possible? Everyone had seen Lovino dissolve.
"Sí, who the fuck else would it be?" Lovino asked. "Where's my fratello, you bastard? I want to see him."
"Then you're going to have to come here." Ludwig said. He seemed to be over his shock. Or he was hiding it. I couldn't really tell. I decided to go with the latter. "And we have something important you both need to know."
