Chapter Ten

By the time Matthew and Alfred woke up I had already gone down stairs and made some coffee. There was plenty in the coffee pot still since I was only on my first cup. I was surprised that Alfred had been the first one awake. But then again, he had been in Spain for a while and was probably getting over the fact he was in a different time zone.

Matthew wasn't up that long after Alfred. Probably because Matthew was normally an early riser. He just seemed like the type that would get up early. Especially considering he hadn't even had a cup of coffee and he already seemed to be wide awake.

"Morning, Feli." Alfred muttered out after making two cups of coffee. He handed one to Matthew and Matthew smiled in return. It seemed as if Alfred was used to making a coffee for the other. He seemed to know exactly how Matthew liked it too. I could tell that from the look Matthew had on his face after he took a sip.

"Buongiorno." I said in my native tongue. Neither of them seemed to know what it meant at first before realizing I had said 'Good morning', even though it was afternoon back home. But just I smiled slightly at the two and sipped the coffee in my hands.

"What time did you get up Feliciano?" Matthew asked and I looked at him innocently. I told him I had woken up at four in the morning. I was going to remind them that it would be ten o'clock back home but it didn't seem like I had to. They both already understood.

"What have you been doing since then, dude?" Alfred asked. He seemed confused as to what I could have done in that three hour time by myself. The answer was simple, really.

"Mostly drew." I told them. "But also tried to figure out a few things. Like how the Magic Trio is supposed to bring Lovino back."

"Wait, what?" Alfred asked. "Iggy and his friends are trying to bring Romano back? But that's never been attempted before."

"Alfred's right, how do they think they can pull it off?" Matthew wondered aloud.

"I don't know. But that's why I'm here. They apparently need a sunflower picked by Russia. But he said in order for him to pick one for the spell, I needed to come here and get the maple syrup for him." I told them honestly.

Alfred scowled slightly. "That co-" He cut himself off when he saw the look on Matthew's face. He didn't seem like he wanted to hear Alfred talk bad about Ivan.

"That wasn't nice of him. Like I don't think you have that much time dude." Alfred settled on that even though it was obvious he wanted to say more. I wondered what it was about Matthew that made Alfred hold back. Did Matthew possibly like Ivan?

"Yes, that wasn't very nice of him but there's nothing we can do about what's already been done." Matthew said and I looked at the time. Matthew seemed to realize what time it was as well. "I have a plane already booked for you, it leaves in a few hours."

Alfred looked over at Matthew. "Wow, make it seem like you don't like his company. That's rude Mattie, really." Alfred shook his head at his younger brother.

"Matthew has a point though, I can't stay here for long. I have to get the sunflower and give it to them as soon as I can." I said and Matthew smiled, he knew full well I had understood why he booked my flight so early. "Plus it's not a short plane ride back."

Matthew then went to his pantry and grabbed a couple things of maple syrup. He put them in a bag and gave them to me. He told me to make sure I was careful with them since the bottles were glass. I had to make sure I didn't break them or Ivan probably wouldn't pick the sunflower for me.

"Grazie." I said and smiled at Matthew. He smiled back when something else came to mind. He went off before coming back five minutes later with something light pink in hand.

"Could you please take this back to him for me, please?" Matthew asked handing it over. Ivan's scarf. I hadn't realized earlier that he hadn't been wearing it.

"Alright." I said. I took both the bag of maple syrup and the scarf in hand before putting them in my bag. "I'll make sure they both get to him safely."

🇮🇹 ❤️ 🇮🇹

I was really starting to hate plane rides. I hadn't been able to sleep on the plane that time because there was a baby that wouldn't stop crying. I admit the baby did look cute, but it was annoying. And the weirdest thing was, it kept acting as if it wanted me to hold it. I would have, but the mother seemed as if she didn't want me anywhere near her child.

The plane landed at six in the morning back home. So that meant it was seven in Russia. I was tired but I knew I wasn't going to get any sleep for a while. One luck thing for me was that Lovino had shown up and guided me where I needed to go so I didn't run into anyone or anything.

"Grazie Amore." I said tiredly to him. He glanced at me and nodded before turning back to guiding me. I was surprised when we exited the airport and there was someone to actually pick me up. And it was Latvia of all people. I didn't even know he could drive.

"Ciao." I said as I climbed into the car. Of course as soon I was in Lovino vanished. I tried not to frown at that. I didn't want Raivis thinking I was frowning at him.

"Hello." He said, the stutter mostly out of his voice. It was understandable since he was away from Ivan. I didn't blame anyone for being afraid of him.

The car ride wasn't long, and I was surprised I hadn't fallen asleep that time. One of the reasons was because I was watching in amazement as it snowed. I didn't see it snow very often. Which was kind of self explanatory since it never snowed back home.

I was shocked when Raivis said we were here. I looked at him before grabbing my bag and climbing out of the car. For a moment, I just watched in wonder as the snowflakes fell around me. A big smile making its way onto my face.

Raivis watched me and smiled slightly. I looked back over and gave him a closed eye smile. "We should probably get inside." I said knowing I shouldn't waste much time. It was already day eight, meaning I had six more days to figure this out of the Magic Trio failed.

Raivis lead me inside and we were both shocked to see Ivan waiting for us as soon as we entered the house. I froze for a moment, before pulling out the bag of maple syrup bottles. "Here." I said holding the bag out to him.

He smiled at me and took it. He moved one hand from behind his back and held the sunflower out to me. I took it carefully, making sure not to touch Ivan. I don't know why, but I just didn't want to take the chance of touching him.

"Now you go, da?" Ivan said and I paused a moment. I then shook my head slightly. I was a bit afraid of his reaction so I spoke quickly.

"I just wanted to know if you knew anything about the country graveyard." I blurted out. He looked at me before shaking his head. He didn't know anything, or maybe was just claiming not to.

I took the scarf out of my bag and held it out to Ivan. He looked at it in a bit of shock before reaching out his hand. I dropped it into his hand, not wanting to keep it away from him when he knew I had it. "Are you sure you know nothing?" I asked.

Ivan hesitated a moment but I knew he felt as if he had to tell me now. "No one knows where it is. It's not in any country we know of. The only ones that know how to get there are the ones who have been there. But none of them can tell us how to get there or where it is."

I nodded slowly taking in the information. That didn't make me feel any better with my chances of bringing Lovino back. But I wasn't going to give up because of that. I refused to give up.

"Alright, that's all I wanted to know." I said and turned to leave. Ivan said goodbye to me and Raivis followed me out the door. We both climbed into the car to drive me to the airport for another annoying plane ride.
