Chapter Eleven

I trudged into the house, dragging my feet. I hadn't slept in thirty-two hours. My body felt exhausted but my mind felt wide awake. I had never felt this feeling before. I usually slept too much, not too little.

"Oh, Feliciano, you're back." Arthur said as I entered. I dropped my bag on the floor and held the sunflower out to Arthur. He took it in his hands carefully.

"I'm going to go take a pisolino." I said heading to the stairs. I was surprised when I was actually able to make it up the steps and to Lovino's room. I didn't care if Arthur knew I had said I was taking a nap or not. I was too tired to care. I just flopped on the bed and let myself fall into the darkness of sleep.

I woke up the next day and mentally cursed at myself. It was already day nine. I had five days left to figure out where the country graveyard. That was if the Magic Trio had failed.

Getting up from bed, I quickly made my way down the stairs. I was sure they should have finished the spell in the time I was asleep. My shoes thumped against the floor as I hurried to where the spell was supposed to be done. But I stopped in the doorway when I saw no one there.

"Britain?" I asked looking around the room. I didn't realize it as I walked into the room that in a way, the Magic Trio was still there. Not until I crossed into the pentagram Arthur had drawn on the floor.

Shocked when I did so, I looked around to find my surroundings were different. I was no longer in the house. Instead I was in a field of grass with a big town of in the distance. I took a couple of steps forward but stopped when Lukas and Vladimir each grabbed one of my arms.

"You can't go any farther if you want to stay." Lukas told me. "We're only here in the circle, we can't go out and they can't come in."

I furled my eyebrows slightly at his words. Who was 'they'? But my question was answered when I looked around. A few dissolved countries were there, looking at us, wondering how we were here. Well except Britannia who seemed to be talking with Arthur.

"Nonno!" I gasped when I saw the familiar person I hadn't seen in so long. I hurried over to the side of the circle, wanting to hug him. But I knew I couldn't.

He smiled at me and I could tell he wished he could hug me as well. He loved hugs just as much as I did. "Ciao, Feli." He said and I couldn't help but smile wider.

"Is Lovi here?" I asked, curiously. If he was maybe I could bring him back home. Then I would just have to find one last part of his soul. The part no one had found before...

"No, he is not." Romulus said. I frowned slightly as he went on to explain. "This place Feli, is the land of dead countries, but Lovi is neither dead or alive. He has five days before he shows up here, unless you can figure out how to get the last two parts of his soul."

I looked up at the him with wide eyes. How did he know I needed to collect two last parts of Lovino's soul? No one knew how many pieces of Lovino's soul I had collected. And I hadn't told anybody.

My grandfather smiled down at me. "I've been looking and watching over you Feli, don't think I wouldn't know." He laughed slightly at that.

"You've been watching over me." I repeated. I didn't doubt it. He looked over me when he was alive, so why would dying change that? But it made me wonder, did he look over any of my other siblings?

"Feli, you know I've been watching over all of you. And I have to admit, Marcello and Aurel are really cute together." He laughed again and glanced over at Vladimir. Vlad had a slight frown at that and I knew he still didn't like the idea of Aurel and Marcello being together. It was just because of his protectiveness over his little brother.

Suddenly the world started to flicker slightly. I looked at my grandpa and he smiled sadly. "It's time for you to go, and join the world of the living again. You and the others aren't able to stay here much longer."

I looked at Grandpa Rome sadly. "Ti amo, Nonno." I said and he smiled. Then their world faded and was replaced with the familiar room of Lovino's house.

Suddenly my legs began to shake and I couldn't help it as I fell to the ground. Lukas came towards me, making sure my head didn't hit the floor. He seemed to be a bit surprised when he saw I was still awake. But then he realized why.

"Him going there seemed to use up a lot of energy. I don't think he'll be able to move for a while. The only reason he's still awake though is because he had enough energy from sleeping so long." Lukas told the other two.

"How come you three can still move?" I asked and I was surprised at how hard it was to speak. I tried to get up, but my muscles wouldn't obey. They felt like jello.

"Having magic, it gives us more energy then you. Going there it soaked up our magic, not our physical energy." Vladimir said. I nodded the slightest bit at that. Or at least I tried to nod.

"We need to get him back to his house in Venice, that way he'll be able to get his energy back more efficiently." Arthur said and the other two nodded. I don't remember what happened next, considering I had fallen asleep once more.
