Chapter 3 Hide & Seek?

"Alright, folks. For training today we are going to play a game of Hide and Seek." Yukko announced. "Now pair up!"

"Uh, hey." Hachi greeted.

"Hey." Ushiko replied solemnly.

"You... wanna be partners?"

The blonde looked at Yoko, who was with Lyric, Nariko was with Kai, and Nateo with Kyro. She sighed, making it obvious that he was her last choice. "Okay." she said gloomily. Hachi's eye twitched. Kai saw this and immediately knew what was coming. "Crap." he whispered.

"What?" Nariko questioned.

"Just watch." he explained. "He gives crap, but he has a hard time taking it."

"Like you're one to talk. You're the one who give the most crap between the two of you."

"Hmph. Touché."

"What's with you?" Katowai retorted.

"What are you talking about?" Ushiko shot back.

His eyes narrowed. "I mean what's with you and your bitchy attitude?" Kai face palmed. He expected more rage from his brother.

"Enough! Both of you." Yukko interjected. "You're stuck with each other whether you like it or not. Now get over it." Death groaned and Hachi scoffed, looking away. "And loose the attitude."

The two glared at his back and the man froze in his tracks. He turned around and with a frightening expression said, "You know, I may let things slide the first time, but unless you have a real good reason to get on my bad side..." They flinched when his eyes turned red. "I believe I've made my point." His eyes turned back to normal as he addressed the others.

"The rules are the same as always. You split up and search for myself and Miroku and you must take from us this." As Himura was already hiding, he held up his arm to reveal a handkerchief tied around his wrist. "In order to win, you must bring Clatina..." she sat in a chair beside him and gave a little wave, "...One handkerchief per team! Once there are two winning teams, the next round will begin. The game will start in exactly five minutes. Lyric, start counting."

"Roger." she said, pulling out her phone.

"Good." he went on."I'm off! Nothing fancy! Got it?"

"Yeah!" they all replied.

"Yoko?" he looked at her sternly.

"Hoo?" She said, looking up from the butterfly on her wrist. "Right. Got it." To the butterfly who was taking off. "Bye!"

They watched him turn into his hybrid form and disappear into the forest. "So, how long do we have?" Nateo asked.

"Still about four minutes." Lyric replied. With that in mind, they all down on the grass.

"Can we switch partners?" Ushiko asked. Hachi was even more irritated by this than he already was.

"No!" everyone said firmly.

"Why not?"
