Chapter 7 Doggo and the Glasses

"He's my older brother."

   "So that makes you my... uncle?" He nodded. Moka looked at her mother. "Did you know about this?"

   "A little." Tohru replied. "I knew Tasuke had two younger brothers, but I never thought one would ever come here." The brunette continued as she set down a tray of tea.

   "As Yukko and I both know, Tasuke was born in the mid to late 1800's[during the time of the samurai]. As a young Earthin, I thought he was joking... Until I found out later how old Serenians can get." To Yukko, "Tea?"

"Yes, please. Thank you." Kayne replied, taking a sip. He noticed there was still confusion. "Is something wrong?"

   Moka scoffed. "Well, I knew he was old, but not that old!"

   Nateo groaned. "All this time, I thought he was like sixty or eighty!"

   Yukko laughed. "That's a common mistake. Most Serenians don't live to be more than at least 300."

   Moka thought for a moment. "Hey, it's Kai, Hachi, and Ushiko, right?"

   "Yeah." "Yup."

   "If you're Yoko and Nateo's cousins, then are the rest of your family still in Seren?"

   "Yeah."

   "My mom's pregnant and my dad's the Reaper King!" Death informed proudly.

   "Woah, woah, woah! Hang on." Moka exclaimed. "Did I hear that right? Did you say The Reaper King?"

   "Yeah." Moka paused for a moment and looked at Yukko to see if it was some kind of joke. As though reading her mind, he nodded in confirmation.

   "The Reaper King is my uncle?" Moka squealed a little. "Seriously? What is he like? How powerful is he? How old is he? Does he always wear all black?"

   "Well..." Yukko rubbed his neck uncomfortably. "Is he that famous?"

   "Hell yes! He's the strongest reaper in Seren!"

   "Ah..." he said distantly. "Is that so?"

   "Yukko? Are you okay?" Tohru asked.

   "... My brother said he's kinda famous, but he never said he was that famous!"

   "How often is he home? I imagine he's away a lot."

   "No." Ushiko anwered. "He's home almost every day, but sometimes goes away for like a month or something."

   "That's cool. So, do you get to train with him?"

   "Yeah, but he doesn't go all out."

   Moka turned back to Yukko. "Are you his older brother or his younger brother?"

   "Hm? Oh. We're twins."

   "Really? What was he like when he was little? And what was my dad like?" She and the other teens scooted in closer.
