I finally woke up the next day, I know, the beast awakens!
I was tired from my late night, and, even though I was tempted, I didn't look at Jamie or Marcos items, just printed it and slipped it in my back pack.Standing in front of my closet, I scanned my wardrobe, then gave up and just settled on a green sweater, jeans, and a red bandana around my hair.
Walking into the kitchen, I say my mom at the table, leaning over important looking papers.
A familiar dread filled me as I got closer.
[FINAL PAYMENT DUE]
[Payment due]
[REQUEST TO PAYMENT]
[HOSPITAL BILL]
I bit my lip at all the bills. My treatment was far from over, and a guilty feeling spread threw my stomach just looking at all the zeros."Hey mom." I finally said, faking cheerfulness and pretending not to have stared at her and her papers for the past five minutes.
Her head snapped up and she hurriedly sweat the bills underneath her purse. "Hey honey, how'd you sleep?" She asked, having dark bags under her eyes.
I shrugged and pulled down Lucky Charms and a bowl. "Fine." I decided not to tell her about The List, it just felt a little personal.
After a silent breakfast, the usual check to see if I had everything, then a kiss, I finally left the house and walked to the bus stop.
This time, the bus driver smiled at me and said good morning. I returned the smile and went to fine Marco. Jamie rode to school, so it left me and Marco with the bus.
"Hey Rapunzel!" Called one of Mickey's friends. I rolled my eyes and continued to the middle of the bus where Marco was staring out the window. I smiled evilly at a sudden thought, I silently sat down next to him then grabbed his shoulders and yell "BOO!"
I have never heard a boy scream that high before.
Marco quickly recovered from his jump scare and looked at me in bewilderment. "Abby!" He whined. I just laughed, clutching my sides and curling over. "¡Tu me vuelves loco! ¡Tu serás mi muerte!" He cried.
I just laughed again then patted his head. "There there little Marco, the big bad monster won't hurt you." I chuckled. He pouted and crossed his arms, sulking.
When I arrived to school, I went to my locker, only to find another person all ready there.
"Er, can I help you?" I asked, walking over to him. I jumped backwards when he turned, recognizing him as the mousey haired boy from the gang of bad boys.
I pursed my lips and stuck my nose in the air, turning to my locker and spinning in my combination. He chuckled coldly and leaned against the locker next to mine. "You know, you've got quiet the guts to stand up to Ariel and Mickey like that." He commented.
I frowned, tattoo flame boys name was Ariel? Interesting.
I shrugged. "What's your name." He asked.
It's wasn't a question that I could refuse, I could tell he wouldn't let it drop.I scoffed as I pulled books from my locker. "Abby. Now please, leave me along." I snapped, reaching for my pencil case.
My locker suddenly slammed shut and I jumped, I took all I had in me not to scream and drop my books. "We don't appreciate being talked smack to. Especially new kids." The boy growled, leaning closer.
Well darn, for a moment there I was thinking that this would be a cliche thing where the bad boy falls for the good girl. [note the sarcasm]
I cocked an eye brow. "Well sorry mr. But I just can't help it. My mouth has a mind of its own." I said in a spooky voice. His eyes narrowed, "Donald told me to warn you about us. Girl or not, we don't take sass." He warned.
Hold up. Mickey, Ariel, Donald, good lord. This will be so much fun!
"What your name, might I ask?" I suddenly said, leaning against the locker and crossing my arms. He seemed suspicious then answered my question.
"Sebastian"
Don't laugh. Don't laugh. Don't laugh. Op! To late.
I burst into laughter and doubled over. He watched my confused, not knowing why I was laughing. "What's so funny?" He snapped. "N-nothing! Why don't you hop on your loyal steed and go back to the rest of your Disney friends!" I chuckled, wiping a tear from my eye.
Sebastian narrowed his eyes and tilted his head. "What are you talking about?" He snared.
"Ok come on! Really? Mickey, Ariel, Donald, Sebastian? Their all Disney characters! Who else is in your gang? Belle? Or, or, don't tell me. Jafar?" I said, laughing. Sebastian just raised an eyebrow, not connecting the dots.
Dummy.
I rolled my eyes and collected the last of my books. "You know what, it was fun talking to you Sebastian, but I gotta go to first period. But hey! I'll see you there! And smile! Your too crabby!" I burst into laughter again.
The main reason I was teasing him so shamelessly was
1) I got about 3 hours of sleep last night
And 2) I can't take them seriously when their named after my favorite childhood characters. I mean come on. Would you?I pushed pasted him and started walking towards math, still chuckling to myself.
"What's so funny?" Jamie asked, curious. I sat down and explained it to her, I watched as her eyes widened and she also started to giggle.
Come on, am I the first one to make the connection?

Sorry that it's a filler chapter, I'm just really tired. And sorry if the Spanish is a little off, my mother isn't the best at translations.IMPORTANT QUESTION!
You know when you see our story in your works, what does the little eye mean? Cause when I click on my story, it has a different number of eyes then when it's just in the library or on my works.
