I sat down at our luck table, yesterday I ditched my lunch box and I bought food instead.
Jamie and Marco sat down to and smiled at me. "Got the list?" Marco asked. I nodded and pulled it out from my pocket.
Jamie frowned at the title but didn't speak as I unfolded it and laid it flat. My eyes scanned it and my eye brows rose.
"This is crazy!" I laughed, looking down at the items on the list.
Jamie and Marco grinned sheepishly. "We wanted to make it exciting." Marco said, scratching the back of his head. I scoffed and started to read some. "Number 25, total make over." I looked up and met Jamie's eyes, she was blushing. "Not to bad." I commented. Then my eyes fell down to another one. "Kiss a stranger for 20 seconds? WHAT!" I yelled. Marco laughed nervously and I glared at him."You are so lucky that your my friend." I mumbled. Jamie laughed and then leaned forward. "So I was thinking, we don't need to do it in order, because then it could take longer to finish." She reasoned. Me and Marco shrugged. "So when do we start?" Marco asked, rubbing his neck.
The nervousness is strong with this one.
I grinned wickedly and my eyes slid down the list, searching for a good one to being with, not to crazy, and not to boring.
Oooooh! This one looks fun!
#12- switch clothes with each other
"I can't believe we did this!" Jamie giggled. I smiled and fixed 'my' button up white blouse.
I wore Jamie's leather black skirt and white blouse, with strap sandals. She wore a head band, so I put that on to.
Jamie wore Marco's blue shirt and baggy jeans. The shirt reached her knees. So, of course you know who wore my clothes.
"Come on out Marco!" I called, banging on the boys bathroom door. "I hate you guys!" He yelled back. Me and Jamie giggled then stepped back as the door swung open.
"Ooh you look just fab darling!" Jamie giggled. Marco scrubbed his nose and tugged in my sweater. The jeans where kind of tight on him and the sweater would never be the same again. And he also wore my bandana! That brave boy!
"Please can I at least put on a jacket or something?" He moaned. Me and Jamie burst out laughing again. "That'll ruin the point! Now come on, we have 6th period together."
Jamie and Marco had transferred to my 6th period class, Language Arts, to keep me safe from the Disney Gang. (As I called them)
Marco complained and hide behind us the entire way there, I would feel sorry for the guy, if he didn't look so funny.
We sat down in the back of the class, some kids looked at us funny, wondering why and how we switched clothes.
When some guy gave me a weird look, I pretended to toss hair behind my shoulder and wiggled my fingers at him. Jamie snorted a laugh and then elbowed Marco.
"Your hiding!"
"Duh!"
"Stop hiding!"
"No!"I rolled my eyes as they argued and watched as the teacher came in, he cast a quick glance over the class then did a double take when he saw us. "Er-um. Good afternoon." He addressed the class, not being able to take his eyes off us.
The class couldn't end quickly enough. Finally when the bell rang, we dashed to the bathrooms and quickly took off the clothes.
I paused, sensing a problem. "Hey Jamie?" I called threw the stall wall.
"Yeah?"
"How am I going to get my clothes from Marco, and how will you return his clothes?" I asked. Jamie fell silent. "Oh." She whispered.Crap.
"Hey you!" I heard Jamie call out. She was in the hall way, she had her clothes, and I was hiding in the stall, waiting.
"Yeah?" I heard a boy respond.
"Can you go into the men's room and give these to Marco? And get the clothes he has?" She awkwardly asked. I heard a confused silence then the boy responded. "What's in it for me?" He asked.I swear. If he even tries to make Jamie do something....
"I could not break your nose." Jamie said simply. I held in a laugh and pressed my ear against the door. I couldn't make out what else they were saying, but it sounded like arguing. After a few minutes I heard Jamie return. "Here." She grunted, launching my clothes over the door. I frowned and quickly changed. "What happened? How'd you get him to do it?" I asked, coming out of the bathroom while tying my bandana. She shifted nervously from foot to foot. "You see, um. Abby." Jamie began. I narrowed my eyes. "How do you feel about going on a date with Marcus Evans?" She blurted.
Run Jamie. Run and never stop running.
"You promised him I'd go on a date with him!" I yelled, chasing after her as we ran from the bathroom. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry ok! You caught his eye and he asked my if you'd fancy going on a date! I didn't know what else to do so I panicked!"
She wailed, skidding to a halt and running down the hall way. I chased after her, having the advantage of converse while she wore sandals.Jamie ran up the stairs (did I mention our school was two stories? Oh well. Our school is two stories.) I climbed up after her, not hearing the hurried footsteps behind me.
"You could have just told him to wait a second then asked me!" I yelled after her. Jamie kicked off her sandals and held them in one hand as she ran faster. School had finished while we had been changing so it was just me, her, and some hurried footsteps echoing mine.
"Can you at least look at him!" My traitor of a friend yelled back at me. "I all ready know who he is! The rumors say that he is the player of the school!" I hissed. Jamie turned and sprinted down the science hall, me at her heels.
"He is not such a player as Donald Reagan!" She tried to reason. I briefly recognized the name from when Sebastian had confronted me this morning.
"Come back here Jamie!" I yelled. She screamed and slid to the right, running back down the stairs towards the gym doors. I hesitated then sat down on the railing, I slid down and landed on the floor before she finished the stairs. She couldn't slow down and the next thing I knew she collided with me and we both fell to the floor and slid into the gym.
The janitor gave us a weird glance before he continued waxing the floors.
I chased Jamie up on to the risers and hopped from seat to seat. Just as I lunged at her, someone grabbed me by my waist and I was slammed against my captors chest.
Jamie sighed in relief and leaned over, branching her hands against her knees as she panted. Mean while I struggled, I didn't like being held. To close of contact.
"Release me pheasant!" I commanded. Marco just snorted then looked over at Jamie. "What's going on? I must have chased you guys threw half the school." He commented, not even breathing heavily.
I quickly explained the situation and when I was done, Marco had his eyebrow raised."You know what," he said, then released me. I leapt at Jamie but she quickly held up her phone. "At least look at him!"
Oh.
I frowned. "That's the same boy that looked at me weird in 6th." I said, tapping the screen with my nail. Jamie nodded, "you were wearing my clothes, so I'm guessing that's how you caught his eye." She said. I scoffed and crossed my arms.
Marcus Evans picture showed a boy with auburn gelled hair and a strong jaw. He was smiling at the camera with his arm wrapped around another girl. Oh great.
"That's his sister." Jamie said quickly. I sighed in relief, I didn't want to start any drama.
"Please just give him a chance Abby. And plus, you'd scratch off another item." Jamie said mischievously. I frowned then Marco handed me the list.
#6- go on a date of your friends choice.
I growled at Marco and Jamie, then sighed. "Fine." I groaned. Jamie squealed and clapped her hands. "Great!" She squeaked. She looked at me like I was a doll that she was about to dress up.
Cue the gulp
