I returned to school, fresh as a daisy.
Wrong. I looked like a got run over with a truck.
My beanie was shoved over my now extra thin hair and my clothes were baggy because I was still cold from my fever.
Kids looked at my weirdly as I strolled threw the hallways, my green eyes blinking ahead of me.
Marco jogged up to me, and instantly my mood lifted and I smiled. "Hey Mar!" I called, waving. He grinned and looped an arm around my shoulders, leading me threw the crowd. "So Abby, me and Jamie were wondering, the talent show is coming up...." He started I frowned, "and it's on the list." He finished quickly. I scoffed,
I'm starting to regret agreeing to that list."How do you know I have a talent?"
Marco just laughed and nudged me, "I know you can sing, you just have that voice."
Awwwwwww see kids? This is why Marco is my boo.
I grumbled unintelligently as we neared the lunch room. "Oh, and Jamie wants to knock-out another number today after school." Marco explained as we entered the loud large room and weaved our way threw the tables.
Another frown.
"Which one?" I asked curiously, taking out the list.
It all ready 3 red checks on it and I internally grinned."The make over one."
Oh stuffed pandas.
-----------------
"Where's Marco?" Jamie asked for the fifth time in the past 10 seconds.
Me and her were waiting out side the school building since school had finished. Kids streamed around us, running to cars and buses, but gradually the crowd began to thin and still no sign of Marco.
We had agreed to go to a local beauty parlor in Jamie's convertible.
(I of course would never admit it, but I was so excited to ride in it.)I shrugged and looked at my phone, "he should be finishing up any second n-"
"Aw look who it is!" Came a snarl from behind me.
I saw Jamie's jaw clench and her eyes narrow at who ever was behind me.
"Bug off Ariel."I swallowed and turned around to see Ariel, Mickey, Sebastian, and a blonde dude I didn't recognize but assumed was Donald.
"Hola. Coma estas?" My Spanish was cringe worthy, but I really really didn't want to talk to them.
Ariel cocked an eyebrow before scoffing and glaring at me. "We heard that after Marcus left you that you stayed home crying like a baby for the past few days." He commented with an evil smirk.
Kill list: Marcus
ArielJamie took a step forward and placed a hand on my shoulder. "You should know better than to assume that. Marcus is just a big fat liar." My friend snarled.
Ok, now I completely forgive her for leaving me with Marcus.
Mickey took a step forward, "You can't talk to us like that! You should learn to respect your superiors!"
I added Mickey to my kill list.
That girl needs to shut her lips and go back to what ever part of hell she came from.I took a step forward and got in her face.
"Listen here punk, no one here is superior besides the staff. All you are is a bitchy little girl who needs to know when to shut up!" I yelled, lounging at her but Jamie caught me just in time. They took several steps back and I could have sworn Sebastian gave me a knowing nod.
"Come on Mick, let's go. No need to waste our breath with these losers." Ariel growled, looping a arm around Mickey and pulling her close before walking away. Sebastian and Donald followed quickly.
*ping* my phone went off, telling me I had a text.
Macie: Look what I found!
My text was soon followed by the sound of foot steps as Marco jogged up to us, looking a little shaken.
I hurriedly shoved my phone away as Jamie began talking.
"What took you so long!" Jamie all but yelled at him. He flinched and held up his hands defensively. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry! Some Junior was sobbing her heart out in the hall way and I had to make sure she was ok!" He explained.I frowned, tilting my head. "What happened?"
"Don't know, said her best friend was kidnapped by her supposed friends or what ever."
(Harrypotterforeva grins wickedly from phone, hoping readers know what she's talking about.)
"Oh the poor thing!" Jamie gasped. I frowned again, watching a red head girl run from the building towards a car, her eyes red and puffy.
Weird.
"That's sad and all but can we go now? Before the salon closes? I want to get this over with." I groaned. My two friends laughed behind me as we made our way to Jamie's car.
