Chapter 9

*10 Years Later*

Tao's POV:

The past ten years have been the best in my life. About 9 years ago Shifu finally realized his mistakes and since then trained Tigress the right way. I have spent so much time with her that nobody would see us separated unless it was time for bed.

I am now seventeen and my feelings have grown for Tigress. I no longer just see her as a sister and best friend, but as something else. I am so afraid to come out and confess my feelings to her, she might not feel the same and if that was the case it would make it awkward between us and I don't want to do that.

"Hey, what are you up to?" asked Tigress.

"Oh, uh nothing. Just thinking about these past ten years." I replied.

"Yeah, they were great." she said.

Tigress's POV:

I wish I could come out and say it. I wish it did not have to be so hard to just confess my love to Tao, but I can't. I mean why would he feel the same way about me. He is so handsome and kind, caring, and I am not that pretty. He wouldn't feel the same.

"Hey, what do you say you and I go into the village, get some fresh cool air and just get away from all this training for a bit?" asked Tao.

"Ok." I replied.

We both got up and made our way to the village. When we got there we looked around and saw all the happy villagers roaming and saying hello to one another. I saw a couple who just seemed to have no care in the world about the ones around them as they kissed. I wish that could be me and Tao one day.

Tao's POV:

I look around the village and see happiness all around. I look at Tigress and see the huge smile she has on her face.

I can't keep going on with this act of just being her best friend. I need to tell her. I look out to the woods and remember I found a place when I was little that was absolutely beautiful and decided now was the time.

"Hey Tigress come, I want to show you something." I said running off into the direction of the place.

"Tao where are we going?!" asked Tigress.

"You'll see when we get there!" I replied.

When we finally get there I stopped and turned around.

Tigress's POV:

Woah, this place was beautiful. I look around and see all the leaves hanging from the trees and I see the pond and it was just stunning.

"How did you find this place?" I asked Tao.

"I was just roaming around in the woods when I was little and stumbled upon this place. I now just remembered it was here." he replied.

"Well it is absolutely beautiful." I said.

"Not as beautiful as you." said Tao, stunning me.

"W-what?"I asked.

"You heard me. Look Tigress I have been wanting to say this and I find now as the perfect time to just spill it. For some time now, I have been wanting to just be more than best friends with you. Tigress, you are the most beautiful sight I have ever laid my eyes upon and now I just can't help it, I need to say it, I love you Tigress. More than anything in the world." he said.

I was stunned. He loves me, he thinks I am beautiful. I don't know what to say.

He looks down as if he was disappointed.

"I knew I shouldn't of said anything. I knew you wouldn't feel the same-" he started, but was interrupted when I did the only thing I wanted to do.

I smashed my lips on to his and held him close. For a moment he didn't do anything, but then he pushed back deepening the kiss. We kept that position for another twelve seconds til we had to separate for breath.

"I feel the same way Tao. You are the most handsome, caring, and selfless creature I know. I thought you would never feel the same because I don't look pretty." I said.

"You are right, you are not pretty. You are beautiful." he said.

With that we kissed again and I could not be any happier.
