Kaylyn's Pov

Jennifer, Emily and I have become really good friends with Tia. She sits with us at lunch, she goes shopping with us, we go on runs together. All four of us are best friends.

The girls walked up to me at my locker and said "hey." I said "you know what I feel like doing?" Jennifer asked "what?" I smiled and said "getting a detention. Remember last year when we would get detentions all the time and go on a run afterwards? I wanna do that again. Today." Jennifer and Emily smiled. Emily said "remember how we would always make fun of people and make jokes about our teachers  in detention." Jennifer said "let's do it!"

We all went to class and found the guys already there. We weren't going to tell them our plan because then they would ruin it. Half way through class I looked back at the girls and they nodded like they knew what I was thinking. I put a piece of gum in my mouth and started blowing bubbles. The teacher said "Kaylyn, stop blowing bubbles with your gum." I smirked and kept on doing it. Finally our teacher got so pissed off that he got our of his seat and grabbed the trash can. He stood in front of me and said "spit out your gum." I said "no." He yelled "now." I smirked and said "no." He yelled "spit out the damn gum!" I stood up and said "okay." I spit my gum in his face and asked "happy now?" He said "that's a thirty minute detention. I'll see you after school."

I turned around and saw the girls give me a thumbs up. Next was Tia's turn. She pulled out her phone and sat back in her chair. The teacher looked at her and said "put away your phone Tia." She looked up at him then back down to her phone. He yelled "put your phone away Tia!" She looked up again and said "shut the fuck up Mr. Cruz." He asked "What did you just say to me?" She smirked and said "did I stutter. I said shut the fuck up Mr. Cruz." Mr. Cruz said "you can join Kaylyn after school in detention, now put your phone away!"

Now for Jennifer and Emily. They started passing notes and finally after a couple minutes of them writhing stuff on the sticky note, Emily slapped the note on the table so hard that Mr. Cruz heard her. He got up and walked to their desks and said "why don't you two go up in front of the class and read the notes you wrote to each other. I'm sure everyone would like to hear." They got up with smiles on their faces and walked to the front of the class. Emily took the sticky note and read "hey Jen, do you think Mr. Cruz knows that the zipper on his pants is down." Jennifer took the sticky note and read "I think he knows. I bet it's down because he wants to get some action from his students." Emily took back the note and read "I bet that's the only action he can get." The whole class started laughing including Jennifer and Emily. He said "that's a thirty minute detention for the both of you. I'll see you after school along with Kaylyn and Tia. Class is dismissed." We must have pissed him off real bad because he let us go fifteen minutes early.

Once we were out in the hallway, we burst out laughing again. That was really funny.

When school was over, I went to Blake's locker. I asked "can you take my bag home with you." He said "sure. Have fun in detention." He hugged me and gave me a quick kiss before leaving. Detention was moved from Mr. Cruz's room to the library and the thirty minutes went by in no time. We left out the back door of the school and ran into the woods. We shifted and started running.

While I was running I could smell rouges but there scent was far away. At least I thought it was far away. Rouges came out of no where and tackled us to the ground. We were able to throw them off of us and stand up. The rouges were circling us and growling. I looked up the hill to see Xavier and Blake's dad smirking. I knew we were in trouble so I did the only thing I could think of. I howled like there was no tomorrow.

Blake's Pov

Daniel, Matt, Nathan, Cory, Emmet, and I were sitting in my living room playing video games when we heard a howl. Matt and Nathan looked at each other then they looked towards me. I knew that it was Kaylyn who was howling. We ran outside and shifted. I followed her scent through the woods and found her with her friends. One rouge had Tia on the ground, another had their teeth around Jennifer's neck, and a third one had Emily by her legs. I looked around to find Kaylyn. She had cuts on her stomach and her arm was dislocated. The guys and I growled and attacked the rouges. We killed all of them except two who had the brains to know they were gonna lose. I went over to Kaylyn and heard her whimper. I helped her up and Daniel put her on my back.

When we got home, we took them to the pack doctor. Jennifer, Emily, and Tia were able to leave in less than an hour. Kaylyn unfortunately got stuck there for a couple hours. I stayed there and stroked her hair while her body was trying to heal it's self. When she was mostly healed I asked "what happened in the woods?" She said "we were running and out of no where, rouges started attacking us. Your father and Xavier were there watching the whole thing. When I saw them I didn't know what to do so I howled and I hoped that you guys would come to our rescue." I smiled and said "I love you Kaylyn." She smiled and said "I love you too."

The doctor finally let her leave and by that time, she could barely stay awake. I took her up to our room and changed her into one of my t-shirts and tucked her in bed. I stayed with her until she fell asleep and then went to my office. I need to figure out what to do with my father and Xavier. I want Kaylyn safe, not in harms way.
