'Why can't I seem to score anymore? I mean I did good in the game against Colombia, I even scored, what's wrong with me it's like I forgot how to kick a ball or something.'

"Crys" Alex says bring me back to reality and out of my thoughts.

"Crystal? Hello are you in there?"

"Yeah, sorry I was just thinking about something that happened a while ago."

"Are you ok?" She asked with a concerned look.

"Yeah, nothing to worry about now, let's just stay focused for the game tomorrow, cool?"

"Ok but we will talk after the game." She says sternly.

I didn't want to tell her that I was having doubts about my performance on the pitch but I don't know why, I mean it's just Alex I should be able to tell my fellow forward about my doubts on the pitch. I mean I'm pretty sure she's had them too. Right?

After the game, back at the hotel

'I can't believe I didn't score today. I mean I know it's not all about sco~~'

"I don't know if it's a UNC or what but you, Tobin, and Ash need to stop leaving your doors open anyone could just walk in here." Alex says bringing me out of my thoughts, again.

"It's definitely a UNC thing, when we would have away games we would leave our room doors open or cracked just in case we need something or just someone to talk too."

"That's so cool I never thought of it that way."

"Yeah well that's what makes use just a little different from everyone else."

"Yeah sure, now what's on your mind? I didn't forget about yesterday Crys you seemed really out of it."

"I know I've just had a lot on my mind lately, nothing to worry about honestly."

"If it's what I think it is just know that it won't always be that way as long as you keep practicing, constantly going over drills and just believing in yourself you'll be the best there ever was, well besides me of course." Alex said earnings a giggle from Crystal at the end.

"Thank you Al, it means so much coming from someone who has been in my shoes before and knows what I'm going through. I don't know how you figured it out but I'm honestly glad you did." Crystal said sincerely.

"Look even though we don't talk much don't ever hesitate to call or text me when you're dealing with something like this, I know we're just teammates but I'd like to be a friend too Crys." Alex says giving her a hug.

"I won't I promise." Crystal says returning the hug.

"I have a lot of faith in you Crystal and so do a lot of other people on this team. We need you, don't forget that...Now rest up me and you have individual training in the morning." Alex says as she's walking out the door.

"Wait, why?" Crystal asked with a confused tone.

"So we can get you a goal." Alex yells through the door.
