Jacob’s POV
“I love you,” she said softly. Before I even had the chance to process those words, she had kissed me. Her lips were soft against mine. Deep down, I knew that I had a crush on her as well, but I was to afraid to tell her. I kissed her back, entangling my fingers in her brown hair. I felt her body relax, and she wound her hands around my neck. I opened my eyes and saw her staring at me, surprise all over her face. I chuckled as I untangled my fingers from her hair.
“What’s wrong?” I asked, pulling her into a hug. “You kissed me back,” she replied, her voice laced with confusion. “That either means you’re playing with me or you like me too.” I smiled as I whispered in her ear, “Maybe I love you too Isabella Black.”
Isabella’s POV
“Maybe I love you too Isabella Black,” he whispered in my ear. My face immediately lit up at those words. Jacob smiled at me and pulled me over to the bench. He sat down, and placed me on his lap, tickling me. I giggled and turned to him.
“Do you really love me?” I asked, hoping that this wasn’t some kinds of nightmare. He shook his head, laughing at me. He kissed me again, placing his arms around my hips. I felt my body relax at his touch and I kissed him back. I entwined my fingers in his blonde hair, and I felt him gently trace the outline of my lips with his tongue. I opened my eyes in confusion, to see him looking at, trying to hide his smile.
“I’m sorry! It’s just in my fourteen years, I’ve never... Kissed someone before,” I said, keeping my eyes down. He chuckled and lifted up my face so my eyes were locked with his. “I’ll teach you,” he promised, holding out his pinkie. I grinned and wrapped my pinkie around his. He stood up and said, “We should go now, it’s getting late.” I nodded and stood up, smoothening out my skirt. He slipped his arm into mine and we walked out of the compartment together.
“So, what compartment are you in?” he asked, as we walked along the dimly lighted corridor. “I’m in Room 246. You?” I said, yawning. “250, quite near you I guess,” he said, ruffling my hair. I smiled up at him and he squeezed my hand. “We’re here,” he said, pointing to my room door. I nodded and pecked him on the cheek. “Pick you up tomorrow for breakfast,” he whispered, as I opened the door. “Okay,” I said, smiling. I waved to him as I slipped into the room, and he waved back.
I turned around to come face to face with Rene, who had a cheeky grin on her face. “So... What happened?!” she asked, as I changed out of my clothes into one of my oversized shirts I usually wore to sleep. I rolled my eyes and jumped into my inviting bed. “Fine,” Rene huffed, climbing into her own bed. I smiled to myself as she turned out the lights and said, “Night Bella.” I rolled over and said, “Goodnight Rene.”
