"W-what happened?" I asked as everyone gathered in the room in bandages.
"Simple, we kicked their asses!" Inuyasha gripped his hand into a fist as a smirk played on his lips.
I smiled lightly and giggled.
"Basically the rest of us handled the small-fry while Inuyasha handled Naraku for a while till we barged in the room after we finished our opponents." Sango said, smiling.
"You know Kagome...you had us worried...Don't do that again!" Rin giggled as Sesshomaru stayed silent.
"I'll try not to." I said sweetly, calming her emotions.
"Thanks." She smiled before taking Sesshomaru's hand and leaving the room.
"You know Kagome...you're very powerful." Miroku smiled as I looked at him in confusion.
"That barrier was extremely powerful, we had some trouble taking it down." He said, pointing out my miko powers.
"Yeah..." I sighed as Inuyasha nudged me.
"So... what was on that paper and "dark secret"?" Inuyasha smirked as I pulled my legs to my chest.
Sango saw that I was uneasy, she grabbed Miroku's wrist before leaving the room.
"My mother died because of me..." I sighed as Inuyasha looked at me with a brow raised.
"Mikos have 5% difference in our abilites than humans. A 1% boost in Strength, speed, intelligent, and limits." I said.
"And the last percent?" He asked.
I placed a hand on my heart.
"Deep inside our hearts is a silver piece to keep our powers in check. It makes sure we don't go overboard, but the silver is also incredibly dangerous." I sighed as he puffed his cheeks.
"My mother didn't die because if the car accident, I was born with a weak silver that could break easily." I looked at him.
"So?"
"So my mother took the risk to share half her silver with me, basically she made me wear a silver wristband wherever I went even in the water." I started to explain.
"She also wore it, so this way i could be saved. If I were to get hurt due to the silver, she would take all the damage." I said as I took a deep breath.
"One day, I went extremely overboard in training with Kikyo and caused a blood clog to happened while on the road, she took it in instead which caused the car to crash, but she died before that."
I closed my eyes as I remember Kikyo's letter.
"Dear Kagome,
I'm sorry for all the pain I caused you throughout the years...I should've kept strong against the pain dwelling inside my chest.
But instead I took it on my little sister who needed me more than anything in the world. I betrayed you countless times, yet you blamed yourself for the actions of mine.
Kagome, it's not your fault that mother died. She loved you, she loved all of us. She knew something like this might happen and so...she made those bracelets to save your life.
You two were like two peas in a pod, always cheery yet wild in your own sense. Sweet, yet daring. Kind, yet sarcastic.
I'm sorry for the pain, I shall never forgive myself nor do I expect you to forgive me. Don't worry about me, I'll get better little sis. I'm getting help from great and kind people, I wish I would've gotten it sooner.
Remember, it was never your fault for mother's death. Please, don't blame yourself. Mother wouldn't ever want that and you know it.
Sincerely, Kikyo."
Now the last person I had as family is gone, I have no blood related family members...but I'll move on.
For you Kikyo, for mom, and for dad.
I felt something warm brush against my leg as my head was dragged down to impact with a shoulder.
"Tch, I don't understand a damn thing about this shit. But I do damn know well it ain't your fault, Kagome. So stop blaming yourself or you'll regret, hear me wench?" He cursed as a smile played on my lips.
"Yeah, sure." I smiled as I closed my eyes, enjoying the moment.
Of course that moment was ruined by Izayoi fangirling and taking pictures.
Sigh, oh well.
That's the end.
