The summer was long, but it ended. You were on your way to your new high school, where you would be met with strangers and not your friends.
Pulling into a parking space, your mom looked to you with a wide smile. "Go get 'em!" You sighed and rolled out of the car, shutting the door behind you. Your e/c eyes looked left to right, scanning the unfamiliar faces as you walked to the front doors of school. Taking a breath, you pulled opened one of the doors and walked in to the front office (luckily, they actually had the front office in the front, unlike some).
You stood in front of the desk and the man behind it swiveled around to look at you. "Hello, do you need anything?" "I'm new, I applied in the summer and I need my schedule." "Oh!" The man turned to the computer, typing in information. Pressing a final key, he gave his back to you and waited at the printer.
"Okay, here's your ID and schedule! Have a good day," the man chirped and gave you your papers. "Thanks.." You walked out of the office and took a look at your schedule. "Room 209C..." "Hey! You're the new girl, right?" You snapped your head up and your head came in contact with his jaw.
"Ow..oh my gosh! Are you okay?!" You waved your hands frantically, looking over the boys face. "Yeah...I'm fine. Do you do this to everyone you meet," he joked as he rubbed his bruised jaw. "Haha," you awkwardly laughed. "So, you're the new girl?" "Yeah." "Let me see your schedule." You handed him the paper and he scanned over the numbers. "The names Ajax. Like the soap," he snickered and handed the paper back to you. "Cool." "What, no laugh?" "Why would I laugh? Ajax was a very strong man." Ajax scoffed, "Well I'm the complete opposite. I'm not strong." You frowned. "You see yourself the wrong way."
He shook off your words. "Anyway, you have calculus, English, and home room with me." "Cool. So...calculus is first, huh?" Ajax nodded. "Follow me," he said and took your hand.
"Here." It was a short walk. You and Ajax stepped in the room. "A~jax," a girl's voice cooed. Her heels clicking against the tile; louder as she came closer to you and Ajax. "Ajax~! Oh, who's this?" She looked to you, her green/gray eyes stared at your form. She radiated an aura that said 'back off.' Someone of high status, a girl that gets what she wants, a girl you knew best not to mess with. "She's the new girl. She's-" "Nobody. I'm nobody," you gave a polite smile to Ajax before taking your seat in the middle.
"Hmph, well at least she knows her place. Smart girl." The girl pressed her body on Ajax and rubbed her cheek against his. Ajax ignored the clingy girl and gazed his saddened eyes on you. "Break it off, Cindy. Ajax." The teacher took his place at the blackboard, and Ajax and Cindy took their seats. "Where's the new one?" Blue eyes scanned the class. "Here, sir." You raised your hand. "Introduce yourself. Stand up."
You stood. "I'm yn and I moved here during the summer." "Where from?" "Ah.../city/." "What school were you going to attend if you had not moved?" Man, this guy asks a lot of questions! "New World High school..." "So you're a pirate," one of the males announced. "What's she doing in a marines school?" Was the murmur of the students.
The teacher nodded his head. "Take a seat." You sat back down and let out a breath. The teacher turned his back and began the lesson.
Let these two years fly quickly. I don't think I would last four years without them...
