You jumped onto the couch and grabbed the remote, turning the tv on and bringing your legs closer to you. You watched intently with your mouth slightly agape at the drama of an ongoing tv show. Zoro sat next to you with a bowl of popcorn and threw a blanket over you and him. You smiled and took a handful of popcorn, stuffing your mouth.
Zoro looked over at you and smiled to himself. He turned to the tv before you could catch him staring.
Throughout the show, he scooted closer and closer until his arm brushed against yours. Your looked down at his arm and leaned against him, resting your head on his shoulder and watched the show. Zoro tensed up and blushed, but slowly relaxed. His blush, however, refused to leave his face.
The show ended and the bowl of popcorn was finished. You sat up and took the bowl back to the kitchen. Zoro stood up and turned off the tv, going to the kitchen after. "Where's the dinner going to be this year?" You turned around and leaned against the counter. "Ahh, I don't know. My place is way~ to small." "What about Luffy's? I'm sure his house is big, he does have two older brothers." You thought about it. "Text him and see if we can."
Zoro nodded, pulling out his phone and ringing Luffy up. "Yosh!" "Luffy, can we have the dinner at your house?" "Dinner? What dinner!?" "Thanksgiving." "Oh! Yeah, Ace and Sabo won't mind." "Right. Tha-" "Wait." You cut them off. You took the phone from Zoro's ear and brought it to yours.
"Yn? You're there?" "Yeah. Can we have Sanji over to the dinner, too?" Luffy hummed as he thought and Zoro gave a small frown. "Why are you inviting the dartbrow cook?" "Because it won't feel the same. And I've gotten over the break up." Zoro grumbled and crossed his arms. "Well, if you're okay with Sanji coming it's okay with me, too! I miss his cooking, actually..." "Thank you, Luffy!" "Shishi!" You hung up and gave Zoro his phone back.
Part II
The alarm you had set for 5 in the morning went off. Happily waking up, you quickly dressed yourself in decent clothes before heading to the kitchen. You had set up everything you needed, from ingredients to the utensils. You texted Sanji (still having number) last night to come over and help you cook. He seemed shocked, but happy you asked him; he said he'd be around by 6.
Having lots of time to spare, you skipped to Zoro's room. Knocking three times before entering. Zoro laid on his side, back facing you, all cuddled up in his blankets. "Aww.." You quickly stepped out of his room to yours to get your camera. Coming back, the camera was on and you put it into focus on Zoro's figure. You took the picture and snickered at the photo, "Happy Thanksgiving, Zoro." He stirred and opened his eye. "What are you doing?" You gasped and hid the camera behind your back. "Nothing...," you said, now slowly backing away. Zoro took off his covers and sat up with his legs off the side of the bed. "Where're you going?" He asked, a smirk slowly forming.
"No where....?" You asked more than stated. He stood up and you dashed out the door, closing and locking it. "Hey! Let me out!" He slammed his palm onto the door making it shake. "Yn! Let me out!" He continued to bang on the door. "Find the key, it's in there!" You said leaving the door. He stopped hitting the door and searched for the key.
You walked to the couch and sat down, putting the camera down beside you. Leaning back your head, you let out a sigh and smiled. The doorbell rang, bringing you back. Getting up you opened the door, "Hey! Come in." "Thank you." Sanji said with a smile, coming in. You closed the door and went into the kitchen with Sanji following behind.
You two started to make the sides. Luffy had insisted him and his brothers make the turkey. "Um...w-will the crew be okay with me being at the dinner?" You looked at him confused. "I told them everything's fine between us." The sound of a door being unlocked was heard followed by a triumphant cry. "Haha! Got it!"
"Yn! Who you talking.." Zoro walked into the kitchen and stopped. He looked at Sanji then to you. "Why?" "He's helping. Get out if you aren't going to do the same." Zoro growled and muttered under his breath. "Can you check on the casserole?" Zoro nodded and opened the oven, crouching down to look. "Seems good, maybe a few more minutes." "Alright, Sanji put the timer for 15 minutes." "Yes ma'am." Zoro stood up, closing the oven, bumping into Sanji in the process.
Sanji toppled backwards, closing his eyes expecting to hit the tile floor. Instead he was suspended mid fall, being held in Zoro's arms. They stayed that way, both shocked at the action. "Can you be gay later?" Sanji stood himself up and straighter his clothes. "Watch it." "You bumped into me chia-pet!" "I can't see behind my head, lover boy!"
Their foreheads pressed against each other, ready to feud. You huffed and asked over, hitting them both upside the head with a wooden spoon, "Be gay later. Help now." Holding their aching heads they went back to work.
Part III
Parking in the driveway, Sanji and Zoro carried in the sides. You rang the doorbell which was immediately answered. "Yn! Zoro! Sanji!" They smiled. Luff lead you all inside. Sabo and Ace were in the kitchen bringing out the main courses. "Hey guys!" "Hi, Sabo!" "Yn?" Sabo turned around and grinned. You set the food on the dining table and ran into Sabo's chest, hugging him tight. "How've you been?" "Good! And you?" "Puffy would not stop complaining about how you left and how bored he was then when you came back he wouldn't stop talking about you." You blushed.
"Oh! The others will be here soon!" All of you helped set up the food in a buffet style. The rest of the crew came and laid out what they brought.
You all stood around the table, holding hands. You stood between Sanji and Ace, Zoro stood across from you in between Luffy and Usopp. All of you bowed your heads as Sabo said grace.
"Amen."
"Amen." You all let go of each other's hands and got in line to grab some food. As everyone sat down, they dug in. Especially Luffy who had been 'dying' to eat the turkey. "This is really good! Who made the casserole?" Sanji smiled, "I did. W-with yn's help." Nami nodded. "Well, its very good." Zoro pouted and continued to silently eat. You noticed and gave him a saddened look.
"Zoro made the rolls. From scratch." Everyone looked at Zoro and smiled. "Thank you, Zoro!" "They're very good, soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside!" Zoro blushed at their thanks, something he rarely got. "Y-yeah, you're welcome..."
Part IV
"Goodbye! Happy Thanksgiving!" "Thanks for coming!" Zoro and you had left, you being tired because you woke up at the butt crack of dawn and had way too much to eat. Sanji stayed behind to help clean.
Sanji and Luffy were at the sink, washing and drying. Sabo and Ace went to bed. "You really hurt her, you know?" He sighed. "I know...I know and what's worse is...I think I've fallen for her again." "She'd be stupid if she went back with you." "I know..."
They finished and Sanji went home. On his way, Luffy's words remained in his mind.
"Shake those feeling away, you'll only hurt her again."
