im driving back to texas from mexico guys :) so it gives me time to write a few more chapters for you guys

I was sitting in a chair close to my moms bed, just sitting there staring at her. My cheeks were sticky from my tears. I saw Alevia, kneeling close to the hospital bed and she was still crying. I feel like Alevia has always been closer to my mom than I have, that goes along with my dad too. I've always spaced myself from my family except Alevia she was basically my best friend.

I heard the door of the room creak open. I looked up and so did Alevia. "Hola niñas como estan? (hello girls how are you guys?)" he said. My dad was born in Cienega De Flores, Mexico. So he speaks mostly Spanish.

"Hola papa (hey dad)" said Alevia as she walked to him. She gave him a hug and began to cry in his arms.
"Papa puedo hablar contigo afuera? (dad can i talk to you outside?)" i ask.
We went outside and I told him what the doctor had told me. "Ay no... (oh no)" he says sadly. I wondered if he was just trying to just trying to have sympathy for us. But that's when he told me: "Lux, hijita, yo se que a lo mejor crees que yo no amo a tu mama por todo lo que a pasado. Y por todo lo que yo a hecho. Pero todavía, si amo a tu mama y si me preocupa lo que tiene ahorita. (Lux, I know that you probably think that I don't love your mom because of everything that has happened, because of what I have done. But still, I love your mom and I am worried about her right now)." I just stared at him for a while.

We walked back inside to the room and Alevia was still kneeling by my moms bed. God, my mom was hooked up to a bunch of different machines. Me and my dad sat on the couch by the bed, I laid my head on his shoulder and we both stared at her.
