"The process will take about 6 hours Mr.Gonzales. If you and your daughters have anything else you need to take care of , then you are more then welcome to go and take care of that." says the lady at the funeral home. "Thank you" says my dad. We walked out of the funeral home. I sighed and walked towards our jeep. We got in the car and my dad asks... "So.. what now?"

We ended up going back home and just going through my mom's stuff, which was actually pretty well hid. We found yearbooks, pictures of my dad and her, pictures of us as a family... What happened?

I saw one photograph that really truly caught my eye... I could feel my heart racing and my face getting red , I could feel my palms getting sweaty and clammy.

It was a photo of my dad with another woman and he was kissing her on the cheek. This couldn't have been during high school or whatever because it doesn't look like it was taken very long ago. The corner of the photo was burned. I flipped it to the back, and saw a poorly written sentence on the back, but it looked kind of familiar. "This is the reason you began to make bad decisions, he never loved you."

It was my moms handwriting.

I looked up at my dad.. "What the hell is this?" I asked.

He looked up and immediately took the photo from me. "Lux.. Dónde encontraste esto? (Where did you find this?)" he said sternly. "It was in this box" I said sliding the box towards him. He threw the box across the carpet and walked out of the room.

I looked at Alevia, and she looked at me. "Do you think that was the first one?" she asked.
