•Justin's POV•
I'm awoken the to the smell of bacon and pancakes downstairs.
Because let's be honest, I live for food.
I go to sit up but I stop when I remember I actually have a girl cuddled up to me.
I look down at Brinley seeing her features relaxed as she sleeps peacefully. But that doesn't stop her from having a killer grip on me right now.
I'm not complaining. If holding on to me is the only way she can sleep without having that horrible dream, then I'm okay with this. I'm more than okay with this.
It's been this way for the last two weeks. She's basically been living with us because for some reason, holding onto me is the only way the nightmares stop.
It's only been two and a half weeks and this girl has had a huge effect on me. It's kinda worrisome seeing as Brinley tweeted about me being only her friend.
Friend, that's cool.
It's a start I guess.
I'm not looking for romance, that's for sure. I mean I'm on tour for Christs Sake. But maybe I'm already too emotionally invested in Brin to remember that fact.
I mean look at us right now. Sprawled around the bed with our legs intertwined, all while holding onto each other with a death grip.
I don't want her to go and she doesn't want me to go and maybe that's what I need to realize. Maybe that's what I should focus on.
Screw you Brinley and your addictive ways.
"Brin, wake up. Breakfast is ready."
She groans and puts her hand over my mouth. I roll my eyes and lick her hand hoping to gross her out but she just shrugs.
"I've grown custom to your saliva on my hand popstar." She mumbles and turns away from me to cuddle up into the comforter.
Ah, she's not wrong. When we were little, whenever she put her hand over my mouth I would do the same thing. She never had a reaction to it, I don't know why I thought it would be different this time.
"Brin I'm hungryyyyy." I whine and she lets out a dramatic sigh.
"Then go eat Justin."
I pout and get up, walking to my dresser to throw on a shirt. I could sense her stare and when I turn back to look at her she quickly looks away making me smile slightly. I then hear shuffling and she makes her way out of the bed; walking straight to me. Her hair is a mess and I notice her makeup all over her face because she forgot to wash it off last night.
"Don't um.. Can we just keep this whole nightmare thing between us? Like.. Please don't tell anyone. It's really embarrassing for me."
I nod slowly, knowing Brin hated showing her weaknesses.
We stay in a comfortable silence before we both walk downstairs and I freeze when I see my siblings and my parents in the same room.
Mom and dad here together? Weird.
Brinley tenses, not expecting the company and neither was I honestly.
"Justin!"
I pick up Jaxon as he runs into my arms. I smile at him and kiss his chubby little cheeks repeatedly.
"I didn't know you guys were coming." I say and mom smiles at Brinley.
"Surprise!" She says and walks to us; probably noticing the fact that we are holding hands. I didn't even realize it until I caught her staring at our hands. We both quickly pull away and I secure my other arm around Jaxon.
