I ripped off my gauntlet and stared at the back of my hand where the dark sign was imprinted. I was breathing heavily, I closed my eyes and counted in an attempt to calm myself. When I had wiped my mind of the memories and re-equipped my gauntlet I started up the steps from where the ball had come (and in my story he is human he does not hollow but he does not die, he does go insane at points but it's like another personality comes out, not that he loses his mind). I remembered the name I was given by most before the collapse of the kingdom and re-linking of the flame. The Broken Man.
Up the stairs from where the steel ball had come was another Hollow but with a broken sword. It swung he rusty blade at me and I quickly knocked it away with my shield shoving my sword through his body. I walked to the door that he was guarding and unlocked it.
It led to another outside area that was more like a balcony. The only other way to go was around a corner leading to the left. When I attempted to go to the left I was confronted by two more hollows with broken swords and an archer Hollow behind them, I handled them like I had handled the others backstabbing and parrying (or riposte, I don't care, don't even know if I spelled that right). To my left was another fog wall and straight ahead was another doorway. I decided to come back to the fog wall and entered the doorway straight ahead. This led to a hallway like area that led to a door, this door however had two Hollows guarding it. These Hollows however had armor and shields with actual swords like my short sword.
While they did have better equipment then the other Hollows their attacks were slow and predictable, so I easily parried them. I pushed against the door but it was locked and I had no other keys besides the one the man had given me. I exit the hallway like room and returned to the fog wall. I repeated the same process to get through this one only this one did not disappear as I entered. I was now on the platform in the room I was in before with the demon looking up at me. I looked down at my short sword and smiled placing my shield on my back and two handing the sword. To hell with it.
I jumped off the platform using the force of the fall to impale the demons head. The demon let out a screech and I dragged my sword out from its skull dropping to the floor. The demon seemed frantic as it swung around its mace. I rolled under the mace and started slicing at its legs. After a while the demon dropped and disappeared dying leaving me with Humanity and another key, this one however was larger than the one the man had given me. I glanced at the large steel door, and walked over to it. Unlocking it with the key I grunted as I pushed it open and left the asylum, however there was nowhere to go. I was left at a cliff. I slowly walked up the cliff to the edge and looked around gazing at mountains in the distance through my visor. Suddenly a large crow comes out of nowhere and grabs me flying off somewhere. As long as it didn't drop me I didn't care.
