It has been a month since Rita was pregnant, but has been two weeks since they announced the pregnancy to the family. Around mid-July, Roddy and Rita went up top to Kensington to visit Sid. He was already waiting for them by hot-aired balloon while Tabitha was at a sleepover before he opened the window for them, giving them welcoming hugs.
"Hey, mates! I heard the news from Lillie Evans! Congrats!" He said.
"Thank you, Sid." Roddy said, smiling.
"Wow, looks like you're starting to grow that bump there, Rita." Sid said, rubbing Rita's belly.
"Yeah, I'm already a month and we got an appointment once we get back." She said, laying a hand on her growing stomach.
"It's been seven weeks since we've been expecting and we're hoping to hear a heartbeat today." Roddy said.
"Ooh, fingers crossed for healthy baby with a healthy heartbeat." Sid said, crossing his fingers.
"Thank you. We need it. Hey, Sid, we were wondering if you would like to be the godfather. Would you like that?" Rita said.
"Really? Yeah, I would love to. Who'll be the godmother?"
"Celeste Piperbell will be the godmother."
"Yay! I love Celeste! We will try our best to be good for your baby."
"I know you would, Sid." Roddy said.
Later, it was time for Roddy and Rita to go home to the sewer. Instead of being flushed down the toilet because of Rita's pregnancy, Tabitha's friendly cat, Bob (short for Bubbles of Buckinghamshire) had to drop them off by the junkyard. "Alright, you two, the sewer lid is right over there, but watch out for traffic. It's busy today. Have a safe trip home and congratulations on your baby, guys." He said.
"Thank you." Rita said, waving.
"Thanks, Bob. See ya." Roddy said, as Bob left.
Before they crossed the street after looking both ways, Rita's ears started wiggling as she stopped. Whenever her ears wiggle, that means they're tingling, which also means something's wrong.
"Rita, are you okay?" Roddy asked.
"My ears are tingling." Rita said, as Roddy's eyes opened wide.
"Something's wrong?"
"I have a feeling that someone knows we're here." Rita said, raising an eyebrow. Then she closed her eyes to think, taking a deep breath before exhaling until she opened her eyes wide, narrowing her eyebrows. "Joe." She whispered, angrily.
"Correct, sweet cheeks, we meet, again." A voice said, as Roddy and Rita turned around and saw Joe, walking out of the junkyard. He was the same height as Roddy, only he had brown eyes that match his skin and black Elvis-like hair with a gray line on it. He was also wearing a black leather jacket, a gray tattered shirt, and black pants and shoes.
"Hello, Joe." Roddy said, angrily, patting Rita's belly, protectively.
"Well, what a surprise I see. Can I rub it for good luck?" Joe replied.
"No." Roddy said.
Joe smirked at Rita and clicked his tongue while pointing at her as Rita rolled her eyes. "Heya, toots." He said.
"No offense, but you make Le Frog seem likeable." Rita said, crossing her arms while raising an eyebrow. "What do you want, Joe?"
"Remember last time we met, you were on my turf and you didn't want to come with me to take you around town to get you home 'cause you didn't need protection?"
