Midnight on February 12 while Roddy and Rita were sound asleep, Rita woke up, feeling thirsty. She was almost out of bed when Roddy woke up.

"Rita, what is it?" He asked.

"Oh, nothing, Roddy. I'm just thirsty for some juice right now." Rita answered, letting out a yawn.

"You want me to go and get it for you?"

"Oh, no, it's okay, Roddy. I can go down and get it myself. Thank you."

Once Rita got out of bed and went downstairs into the kitchen, she grabbed a glass and pulled the orange juice carton out from the fridge as she poured it in her glass before taking a big sip of it until she set it on the table. "Ah, much better. I needed that." She said before she felt something that caused her to groan gently as she turned to her bump. "You gotta be kidding me, kid. Keep headbutting Mummy's bladder." She spoke before she felt something wet splattering and spilling down her legs as she looked down to find a little puddle, surrounding her feet. Even her jeans were damped to the sides. "Oh, man, that's embarrassing." But before she went to grab a towel, she felt stopped in her tracks when she started feeling a bit of cramps, tightening her stomach. "Ow. Oh, ow, ow, ow." She was now starting to feel pain. Realizing she was beginning labor, she shouted out to her husband, which echoed through the house, including their bedroom. "Roddy! RODDY!"

The shouts woke Roddy up right away, quickly getting out of bed, zipping out of the bedroom, trotting down the stairs until he reached the kitchen, all alert and catching his breath. "What is it? What's going on?" He went.

"I think it's time. My water broke."

"What? Okay, are you having any contractions?"

"Yeah, every five minutes apart so far as I know." Rita said before feeling more contractions, groaning in pain. "Ow, oh, God, this hurts! My stomach now feels like I've eaten a sharp boulder."

Roddy's eyes suddenly opened wide. "Oh, my god, you are in labor. You're in real labor! So that's means, the baby's coming!" He went in excitement with a big smile on his face before he quickly loat it, realizing what was going on, now looking worried, running his hands through his hair. "Oh, my god, the baby's coming! But it's still too soon! We're not due for another week! I'm not even ready for this yet! What are we gonna do now?!" Rita stood there in pain. Hearing her husband, panicking and rambling got her all annoyed, rolling her eyes before she slapped him right in the face, shutting Roddy up completely, coming back to his senses, putting his hand on his cheek. "Thank you. Sorry about that." He said, rubbing it.

"Roddy, focus, you have all of our things in the engine room, including the baby's stuff, right?" Rita said.

"Yes." Roddy nodded.

"We passed Lamaze, right?"

"Yes."

"We got the nursery room ready, am I correct?" Rita said.

"Yes." Roddy nodded.

"And you have been preparing us to get us through pregnancy and childbirth after reading that dumb book, right?"

"Yes, ma'am."

"Then what are you doing right now, knucklehead?! Stop gawking like a half-wit and call the doctor!" Rita shouted before she started cramping up, again. "Ow! Please! I think Baby St. James is preparing to fight it's way out!

"Yes! Okay. Don't worry, I'll go call him and I'll get you into the boat and grab Celeste, okay?" Roddy said, leading Rita to the couch so she can sit down.
