Rita is now seven months pregnant and Roddy just came back from the grocery store with food supplies for her. Some of her family members came to visit while they help decorate the apartment for Christmas when Liam saw Roddy walking through the door with the groceries in his hands. He was very surprised to see him with two full bags of groceries in his arms as Roddy walked in and closed the door. "Geez, Roddy, are you and Rita hibernating this holiday?" He asked.
"No, this is the food your sister needs whenever she feels hungry." Roddy said.
"Um, okay." Liam said, confused.
"By the way, is Rita in the bedroom?"
"Yes, she is, Roddy. She's putting on those old maternity overalls Mum gave her." Jenna said.
"Alrighty, thank you, Jenna." Roddy said, going passed the Malone crowd until he made it to the door to his and Rita's bedroom, knocking on the door with his foot just in case he didn't come in to see his wife, still dressing.
"Yeah?" Rita's voice mumbled through the door.
"Hey, it's Roddy, I'm back from the store. Can I please come in?"
"Hang on a second, let me get the straps over first." Not too long ago, Rita, who was wearing not only her aqua-green sweater, but a pair of overalls on, opened the door to let her husband in. She was surprised to find Roddy had just come home with two full grocery bags before he came in to set them down by the bed, now all wiped out.
"Whew! Thanks. Those bags were breaking my arms." Roddy said, wiping the sweat off his forehead.
"Oh, my god, Roddy! What did you do? Buy the whole store?" She laughed, looking at the groceries.
"Kind of, but I made sure didn't pay for the ones that were pricey. Here's £15 back." Roddy said, handing some money to his wife.
"Thank you. I'll put it in my wallet later." She said, putting the money in her pocket.
"Okay, so I got the donuts like you asked for. I also bought apples, oranges, bananas, pineapples, peaches, strawberries, if you wanna make a fruit salad, more herbal tea, coconut milk, protein powder, more kefir for your smoothies, frozen yogurt, oatmeal cookies, banana nut muffins, juice, and almond milk." Roddy said, pulling out all the groceries from the bags.
"Wow, I think this is the last time I'm sending you to the grocery store alone." Rita chuckled.
"I know, I know, but the reason I went overboard was because you're pregnant. You're eating for two." Roddy said.
"And I know sometimes, I can have a huge appetite because of it. Just put them in the kitchen, I'll have Mum take them for you, but keep the donuts out, please." Rita said before calling out to her mother outside the room. "Mum, will you help Roddy bring the groceries to the kitchen, please?!"
"Sure thing, dear!" Her mom called back before she walked to her son-in-law to help him with their groceries, taking to the kitchen until he came back in the room to close the door and walked back over to the bed with the box of donuts, laying next to Rita.
"Okay, you might wanna go easy on your cravings and not mixed them up kinda funny like you did with that sandwich last time. It's not good for the baby."
"I know. I'm working on that. Pregnancy is giving me an odd taste. You have no idea how my cravings feel like." Rita said, rolling her eyes playfully.
"I know. I just want you to eat right. So what are you thinking of doing right now?" He asked.
"I think baby and I wanna snuggle with daddy right now." Rita said, smiling while rubbing her belly.
