Flushed Away: "Oh, Baby!"

Chapter 13 It's a boy! Roderick "Rodney" Bryce St. James Jr.

An hour later, Celeste and Lillie came over with Rachel so she could see her new baby brother. She was even wearing a light green shirt that reads, "I'm a big sister!" That Celeste helped her dye it when they knew the baby was gonna be born today. She even got the baby a new Teddy Bear to give to him along with bringing her stuffed elephant, Trumpet.

Roddy was waiting in the waiting room for them, coming up to Rachel to pick her up and walked her in the room, Rita and Rodney were resting at. "Alright, Rachel, mommy and the baby should be right here." He said, carrying his daughter to her mother, who was laying in bed, still wearing her black tank top from earlier while Baby Rodney was sleeping in his bassinet, all swaddled up.

"Is that my Rayray I see?" Rita replied, smiling, catching Rachel's attention, seeing her mother with a big smile on her face.

"Mummy!" She cried out, as Roddy walked her up to the bed.

"Hi, baby." Rita said, picking her daughter from her husband's arms while he set the stuffed animals at the end of the bed as Rachel hugged her mother.

"I missed you."

"Oh, I missed you, too. What does your shirt say?" Rita said, pulling away from her daughter to read her shirt.

"'I'm a big sister.'" Rachel said, pointing out the words on her shirt to her mother.

"'I'm a big sister' and it's green now, too."

"Aunty Celeste and Aunty Lillie helped me dye my shirt green because we knew the baby was coming today on St. Patrick's Day."

"Well, that was really nice to them. Did you tell them 'thank you?'" Rita said.

"Yes." Rachel said.

"Good girl. Well, guess what? You are a big sister."

"Is the baby here?"

"Yes, the baby is sleeping over here in the bassinet. Now if the baby's clothes are pink, it's a girl, and if they're blue, it's a boy." Rita said. Roddy walked over to Rodney's bassinet, close to pick him up from it before handing him over to his wife. What it was shown, he was wearing a blue buttoned shirt that reads "Little brother" along with blue socks and a blue beanie on his head.

"Now what color of clothes is the baby wearing?" Roddy asked.

"Blue. It's a boy?" Rachel replied in surprise.

"It's a boy!" Rita said.

"Yay! We got a baby boy!" Rachel said in excitement, clapping her hands.

"Yes, we got a baby boy, you're right."

"Rachel, say hello to your new baby brother." Roddy said.

"His name is Rodney." Rita said, holding Rodney close up so Rachel can see him.

"Hi, Rodney, I'm Rachel. I'm your big sister." She said. Roddy and Rita both smiled.

"Rayray, you wanna hold him?"

"Yes."

"Okay, you gotta sit down first. Thank you." Roddy said. So Rachel sat down while he and Rita helped her hold Rodney.

"Hi, bubba." She went, giving him a big kiss on the forehead and cuddled with him in her arms. She loved him so much, she wouldn't let go of him at all. Later on, Rita video called all of Rita's family members to see Rodney since they couldn't make it due to her mother, being on bed rest until the triplets are born. They loved him as much the way they loved Rachel when she was born. They were even more surprised when they found out he was a boy.
