First Blow

-1 year earlier-

Julie sat in Becker's lap and kissed his face all over. "Do you think we'll be together forever?" She whispered in his ear. She had a tight grip on his black tie.

Becker wore a white button up shirt with black pants, black and white converse, and a black tie. "I believe that's a possibility my dear," he replied. He kissed her lovingly as they sat on his couch. He had just gotten off work and he was happy to be with her.

A buzzing disturbed the momentary silence and Becker looked at his phone. "Hey, the guys are asking if I can join them for a night out. I'm gonna go if that's okay with you," he said, looking at the text.

Julie rolled her eyes and grit her teeth. "I'd prefer you not," she said seductively. She hated it when Becker went out, even though he never did anything wrong.

"And why not?" He asked.

"Cause I want you here with me," she replied, starting to unbutton his shirt and take his tie off. She gently touched his chest and abdomen and smirked. "My my my, don't you look handsome tonight," she whispered. "Listen, love. I really don't want you going out tonight...okay?"

"Why?" Becker replied. "I need a reason."

"Cause you're mine and mine only," she hissed.

"So just cause we're dating means I can't go out and have some time for myself and be with my friends?" He asked. "That's absurd."

Julie rolled her eyes and got off of Becker. "But you never give me any of your time. At all. It's all work, eat, and sleep, Becker!"

Becker buttoned his shirt back up and got up. "I'm sorry, but at least I'm paying the bills around here!"

"No! You're not, Becker! I am!"

"Julie, no. I've paid the medical bills and phone bills for the past 3 months!"

"Becker, listen to me. You wanna know why I'm not letting you go with your friends? Cause I'm afraid you're going to leave me for another woman."

"Julie, I'd never. You know that!"

"Stop lying through your teeth!" Julie snapped. She went to the kitchen and got an empty beer bottle she had finished earlier that evening. "If you had the chance to leave me, you would! I know you would! Why don't you love me?!"

Becker raised his hands and suddenly the bottle came hurling towards him. "Julie! What are you doing?! I would never do this to you!"

"Showing you who's boss," she growled. She grabbed his wrist and twisted it. She then punched him in the nose at an upward angle, almost killing him.

Becker fell back and passed out immediately.
