Lucas's POV
we walked into a room full of art and paintings and a bunch of things for project including a science room which has a bunch of chemicals. It's actually pretty cool.
"So we're doing the project in here?" I asked looking around.
"Yeah huckleberry is there a problem?" She asked giggling. That giggle. When she laughs or even smiles it makes my day.
"No actually this place is amazing. Did you draw these?" I said pointing at the paintings of people and places.
"Actually yes. I've always loved to paint I'm not good so I just keep it to myself." She said looking down at the floor. I walk up to her and put my tip of my pointer finger lifting up her and say "well I think there beautiful." She made a small smile. Than of a sudden were both leaning in and we were centimeters apart, our noses touching. We were about to kiss but all of a sudden my phone starts to ring and I turn around and see my mom calling. "Hello? Yeah. I'm at mayas house right now. Ugh fine. K, love you. Bye." I turn to her and she says "so......" It was really awkward and I said "well uh my mom called telling me I got to go. I'll just do the project myself." "Lucas, what! No I will not let you do it on your own! I'm your partner for the project remember that! I can't let you I'll help." She says. I love how she is so caring when I try to do something for her. "No really I insist maya you have done so many things for me and now I will do something for you." I said smiling and wanted her to say yes because I really do want to do something for her. "Oh huckleberry you saved my life today isn't that enough!" She said putting her hands on her hips. "Nope not enough I'm doing it and that's final." I say with a confident smile on my face. "Lucas no seriously I don-" I interrupted her and went up to maya and kissed her cheek. It felt amazing even though it was just her cheek it was perfect. "Bye maya." I said leaving the room, leaving the house.
Maya's POV
Did that really just happen? Did he really just kiss me on the cheek. And when he did I felt butterflies. Why though? He doesn't like me like that. Or at least I think. Does he?
I walked into my room changed and laid in bed. I closed my eyes thinking about Lucas.
Lucas's POV
I walked into my house and yelled "I'm home!" "Okay sweetie go to bed now don't want to be late for school tomorrow!" She said from the kitchen.
"Okay! Good night!"
"Good night honey!"
I walked into my room, changed to some sweat pants and took off my shirt. I brushed my teeth and got into bed. I started to drift off thinking about maya and what just happened.
I think I'm in love with maya Penelope Hart.
