Chapter 11: Watch, Learn & Practice

Day 3 since Karma left and it made Nagisa couldn't stay still. He's really really worried about him.

"He said that he would teach me some tricks, but......" He annoyed.

He forced himself to turn the TV on because he's curious about what's going on yesterday. The remote's still missing, so he hoped that the channel was a news program. He inserted the plug slowly with a bit flinch because of the spark, but as the TV was on, he's excited like a toddler got his first ice-cream. He saw a beautiful woman was sitting in neat appearance with a dark blue blazer. It was an afternoon news and the timing was right, because the background music had just stopped.

"This is our first news...." The reporter started, "the general finally starts talking about the last incident..."

Soon, the scene changed and Karma's brother appeared surrounded by newshawkers, "..... Oh, I think so.... And....." Seemed like it was an answer from the previous question, ".... And it isn't a big deal for us.... You guys know that they're just the chockers.... What can they do? It was just a small scratch for our unbreakable headquarter.... See....." He pointed at the steel fence behind him, "even it didn't take any effect on the fence...." He laughed.

One of the reporter then took over and gave some opinions while the scene changed again. It's showing the viewers a tall majestic modern building with a big red flag which was waving on one of the side of the building. There was a phoenix-looked symbol on it; it's the same symbol with the emblem on the front door.

"It's......." Nagisa muttered, "a red phoenix?"

He's thinking hard and focusing his thought and sight to the news. Did he know something about the symbol?

"The red phoenix........ Is that...... But how?" He questioned himself, "if it's true, then this city is____"

Nagisa didn't move, because he felt there's something on his head behind him, at that moment. He's sure that someone was there and aiming his gun on him. He gulped with a sweat dropped on his face. How come this person could come in and he didn't notice his presence? Was it because he's careless? He calculated about his next move. It shouldn't be that easy to take his dagger and gun on the coffee table in front of him even just for a quick swing of his hand, but if the person behind him noticed it, that would be a sayonara. He then decided to defend himself in this gambling. He closed his eyes briefly then moved his hand slowly at first, but suddenly he could take the gun with a quick smooth move at the speed of light; even the person behind him didn't notice it. He grabbed the gun tight, then turned back fast, slapped the gun before him and aimed his gun to that person. His move stopped in sudden because of the other gun was already on his forehead. His eyes widen as he saw that it was Karma. Karma 's just standing calmly with glowing bloodlust amber eyes.

"You let your guard down, slowpoke..."

With a small smile on his face, Karma pressed the trigger at once with no doubt. There's no sound of a gun shot, but Nagisa fell backward with a fresh red liquid spurted from his forehead. What's wrong with Karma? Why did he do that? After he shot Nagisa, he stared at the gun and not long after that, he smirked as he saw Nagisa was standing before him with gloomy aura.

"Oh? Did I just wake the monster?" Karma lifted up his chin a bit, "looks like you won't die with just a hole on your head...... then.... Let's make one more hole on your left chest...." He's excited.

Karma aimed his gun at Nagisa once again. His finger was already on the trigger, but he didn't press it. For seconds, they're just standing without doing a single move. They could hear the dripping sound of the fresh blood on Nagisa's face.

"Hee~ you can stay calm, huh? You don't look like in a pain.... So creepy..... Well..... Sayonara, Nagisa-kun..." Karma pressed the trigger slowly.

"JUST STOP JOKING!!!!" Nagisa shouted.

"Eh!?" Karma startled.

"Karma-kun..... You've made me mad!!!" Nagisa glared at Karma, "you've gone for days, didn't say a thing and just left me here alone.... Don't you know how worry am I when I heard the siren yesterday? I pray for your safety and hope that you're not involved in that whatever incident......... I even could turn the TV on by myself and watch the news to make sure that everything's ok....... And......... Now you're home and playing around like this!!??" He's upset, "you're pretending to kill me with a ketchup???" He wiped his forehead desperately, "you're the worst, Karma-kun..."

Karma closed his eyes briefly, "no.... Nagisa-kun...." He shook his head slowly, "it's a paint bullet....." He smiled mischievously, "it's a new product and I bought it together with the silencer in my gun.... What do you think? It's perfect, isn't it? The paint has a real blood color.......... and....... Don't we suppose to do this if we want the real practice, Nagisa-kun?"

Nagisa's annoyed and he backed away. His heart's hurt and a tear flew on his cheek; though he tried to fight it back. He felt stupid for worrying the wrong person. Karma didn't take a move and just staring at Nagisa's back. He saw his fragile roomate's shoulders were quivering. That disrupted him and his arms moved automatically, hugging Nagisa from behind. He didn't know whether this was a quarrel between them or not, but all he could do was just to comfort him.

".........rry......." Karma whispered vaguely, "don't leave.......me......."

"Karma-kun? What did you say?" Nagisa confused.

".........sorry..........."

This time, Nagisa let Karma hugging him and stayed like that for minutes, with no move, until Karma slowly closed his lips to Nagisa's lower neck and kissed it tenderly. Though that was a super slow attack from Karma, it could jolt Nagisa and made his heart throbbed fast.

"Ka..... Karma-kun......." Nagisa blushed hardly, "wha.....what are you.......doing???" He trembled.

Karma didn't even care about Nagisa's reaction. He kept kissing and slowly moved from the lower neck to the upper neck, that finally made Nagisa moaned. Karma paused his move then as he saw Nagisa's face turned to him, his instinct told him that Nagisa wanted him to continue the kissing by mouth. Their eyes were locked and they could hear the pounding of their hearts. They're getting closer and it's just only 0.1 millimeter more when they realized a heavy breath followed by a sharp stare between them.

"Hmmm............ Interesting.........." The disturber snorted.

Karma and Nagisa froze on the spot as they saw Karma's brother was standing beside them with sparkling eyes of excitement.
