Chapter 17: 'til The End (The Last Chapter)

Nagisa did nothing, lowering his head down and kept quiet in minutes. His sister and Karma also didn't take a move and stayed alert because they could feel that something's wrong with Nagisa. He's staring at his hand while murmuring something not clear. Karma saw Nagisa's shoulders quivered; that reminded him with the last time he hugged to calm him, but this time he couldn't do it.

"......... I'm back, nee-san......"

Nagisa suddenly released his smile to his sister. Though he's smiling, but his eyes were glowing keener. It's not like he smiled because of his memory was back, but more like he smirked maliciously at his sister. What's wrong with him? Once his memory's back he looked different and even gloomier than before. His bloodlust dangerous eyes locked on his sister only and then he stepped to her slowly, ignoring Karma who was freezing on the spot as he saw the real monstrous Nagisa that awaken at the last minute. What did he want to do to his sister?

"Say, nee-san.... I think you know how does it feel to kill someone...... I bet you already did that before......" He said lightly, "I expected to be died ever since I killed them, but no one could kill me..... Now..... Don't you mind if I ask you to do it here and now, nee-san?" He pointed his dagger at his sister slowly, "do it or else..... I will kill you instead......"

The sound of gun shots startled him and as he snapped out, he saw Karma was already in front of him, facing at his sister and covering him from the shots. He fell backward but Nagisa held him fast.

"What a stupid choice......" Nagisa's sister stared cynically at them,"Don't think that I'm afraid of you, Nagi..... I'm not a weak woman who can only run away while trembling in fear...... How could I be a rebellion's leader if I'm afraid of a small fly like you?" She chuckled, "oh, and one thing you should know.... That.... I'm not your true sister, Nagi..... I was adopted by your parents from a bankrupt orphanage and I was supposed to babysit you rather than became your sister..... So.... It didn't bother me when you killed your mom and dad back then....."

Nagisa glared at his sister and did nothing but hugging Karma's body. Soon, a big explosion shook that building hardly and caused some of the ceilings broke down. Nagisa's sister hurriedly stepped out of the room, but before she could pass the door, she fell down with a dagger on her back head.

"Me too, nee-san...." Nagisa muttered with one of his hand outstretched after a quick throw of his dagger, "I also don't bother to lose you forever....." He said cynically.

"Na...gi...sa.....kun...." Karma tried to speak, "let me...... sleep....... I'm........ tired........." He panted.

Nagisa let Karma to lay his head down on his laps. Karma panted heavily while the blood on his chest and his stomach flew unstoppable, though he tried to cover it with his hands.

"Karma-kun..... Why did you protect me?"

"Like....... I said...... before......" Karma touched Nagisa's cheek, "my body...... moved..... by.... Its own..... will..." He gave a small smile.

There's blood came out from Karma's mouth but he's still smiling gently at Nagisa. His eyes looked at Nagisa warmly and with his last strength he took a deep breath for his very final words; for his beloved roommate.

"I.....lov___" he stopped.

That was the real last words Nagisa could hear from Karma. The person who saved his life many times and took care of him all this time was already closed his beautiful amber eyes and wouldn't wake up anymore. His face looked so calm and peaceful. For seconds, Nagisa traced back his recent memory with Karma and slowly he kissed Karma by mouth for the first and last time. The building's about to collapse, but Nagisa didn't move from there. What did he want? Because of the last explosion took a fatal damage on the building, it finally collapsed. The whole room was rained by the debris as Nagisa said something.
