I refuse to stand by and watch you give up. I won't lose you, I can't. We'll walk away from this battle together.

"How are you feeling today, Natsu?"

Natsu glanced up from flexing his hand, "I'm feeling okay."

Gegu chuckled and sat next to Natsu, "Looks like we need to replace your bandages."

"Gegu...I've been here for a long time...I have to go...you know that!"

Gegu shook his head and sighed, "Natsu, you're still in no shape to be going anywhere."

Natsu looked at his knees and murmured something incoherent. Gegu placed a wrinkled hand on Natsu's shoulder and smiled, "You will join the fight again soon."

Natsu nodded, "Um...I realized something weird."

 "What is it?"

"My emblem, it keeps...vanishing and then re-appearing..."

"I noticed that," muttered Gegu. "listen, Natsu, I have a feeling I know what is going on with that."

 "You do?"

"Yes. If what you told me is correct, and you are a demon, I want you to understand...that if you have joined a guild previously...your guild emblem is bound to vanish completely. It's not like you can't "re-join" a guild, it's just your demonic abilities have to take out anything associated with something else. But you won't have any other problems in the future...at least once you've gotten the full of your powers."

Natsu nodded, "Um...you seem really cool with...the fact I'm a really powerful demon."

Gegu chuckled and sat next to Natsu on the bed, "Young man, I've only known you for...what, almost a month now? Yet, I feel very close to you!"

Natsu chuckled, "Hey! I feel the same way old timer!"

Gegu chuckled and unbandaged Natsu's chest. He examined the large wound that was still healing on Natsu's chest. The gash had been from his shoulder down to the right side of his stomach. It had been deep, but now it had been sewn up. Gegu examined the stitches and cleaned it before re-bandaging it.

 "Thanks pops!"

Gegu shook his head and stood up with a smile on his face, "Natsu, come out back in a few minutes. I think that Jek wants to train with you some today."

Natsu nodded, and waited until Gegu left the room to sigh. Natsu touched his re-bandaged chest, a sad smile coming to his face. He would see his friends again sometime...he knew it.

Natsu got up and trudged outside of the small hospital and glanced at the clearing where training equipment was set up. Jek was waiting for him.

Jek was a tall slender man, his arms and chest showed he worked out and trained a lot. He had short brown hair, dark green eyes and somewhat of a roman nose. He generally had a stern expression on his face as well. Jek had been the one to find Natsu, and Natsu noticed how interested in he had been in Natsu's abilities, or the fact he was a Fairy Tail wizard.

"Hello, Natsu." Jek nodded at Natsu as the pinkette stood next to him. "How are you this morning?"

"Great!" Natsu grinned, "Good enough to fight in a war!"

Jek's expression hardened even more, "Natsu. I want to make sure you're fully trained to fight."

Natsu sighed as Jek began the routine training. Natsu had been training for at least a few weeks; Natsu had been in the village for around a month and fifteen days. The people that lived in the village cared for Natsu, for Natsu had helped out around despite his wounds.
