Enemy or friend

We stood there for about two minutes before sitting down. Macy and Red didn't talk until I finally spoke.

"Ok..what's going on?" I asked glaring at the both of them. Macy gave a quick glare to Red. "How about you start, RED, seeming that you started the whole thing."

Red sighed. "We have some..history together." I looked at both of them. "Well maybe you should apologize to one another. Shake hands, at least something. I just wanna have a peaceful dinner."

They both grunted, but sat up and shook each other's hand. "I'm SORRY.." Macy mumbled. "I'm sorry as well." Red whispered. I clapped my hands together. "Great, now can we eat?"

The dinner was quiet, small talk once and awhile asking Macy how her career is doing, and trying to plan the rest of the week. To be honest though, no one had fun. Not even Jess, who gave everyone worried glances.

As we walked out though. I had an idea. "Hey, how about we all go to the mall? I'm sure that'll be fun! I'm pretty sure we all need to do something, especially celebrate Macy's arrival." I pointed out. Red sighed. "Sure, why not." He kissed me on the cheek and gave a non-sympathetic look at Macy. "I'll see ya around."

As soon as we got in the car, I faced Macy. "Ok..listen. None of us had a good time. What the heck went on?" I squinted my eyes at the blonde headed girl grumped with her arms crossed. "You didn't tell me MICHAEL would be there. I mean..what the heck? His name is RED now? Funny, guess he changed his name cause he was so embarrassed." Well, that got no where. "Ok, his YouTube name is Redvacktor, so everyone calls him Red. Second of all, embarrassed of what?"

"Well, I'm his ex."

That froze me, making me put my hands on the wheel and exhale. Macy didn't really take pity on me, she kept going on.

"We dated for about two years. Then, at a party, I see him MAKING OUT with someone that heck, I don't even know! To make it worse, someone got a picture and showed me. Boy, did I burn that picture to the GROUND." Macy looked as if she was gonna tear up. "He tried apologizing, but I wouldn't listen to him, that's why I went to Florida.."

That was the most surprising thing I've heard in weeks. Technically, my best friend..dating my boyfriend and me not even knowing? Wow..

I was technically speechless, until Jess comforted Macy. "Well, what's in the past is in the past. You have to move on. You guys were young, you can't waste this gorgeous week on an ex boyfriend!"

Macy sighed. "You're right..tomorrow, I'll apologize. A REAL apologize." I smiled. "Great! Now, let's get you unpacked and hit the hay!" I laughed and started the car.

At home.
We let Macy have the extra room upstairs. Jess, getting ready for bed, so I helped Macy unpack. "Listen, Blessing. I kinda wanted to apologize. I feel really bad for being in a mood at IHOP..and not telling you I dated..Michael." I walked up to her and gave her a hug. "As Jess said, what's in the past is in the past. I don't blame you. Everything will be ok, and you two will make a true apology tomorrow, and you guys will be friends!" She smiled. "Thanks."

Macy is so nice, but..is she too nice? Will she get over her ex so easily? And what will be Red's  reaction? Will she be a friend..or enemy?
