I've been walking around the asylum for quite some time now. I'm trying to trigger a flashback of some sort, so I can help Luke and Lillian.
I didn't know where to start, so I started walking down the long hall of room doors. Each room had a number painted above the entry.
I run my hands along each door, and a thought popped into my head. When reading Luke's file I found out his patient I.D. number was 203. So, his room must have '203' painted over it.
I walk down the hall, passing each door that didn't have the number '203' painted over the door.
When I reach the end of the wing I finally come across Luke's room. I run my hand over the door before opening it. When I walk inside there isn't much to see. There's a bed and a desk. His bed had restraints on it, probably trying to contain the large boy when he became angry.
There was a small mirror in the room, it's now dirty and you can barely see your reflection. I look at the walls and see the wallpaper peeling. On one section of the wall there seemed to be writing under the wallpaper.
I begin to peel the wallpaper the rest of the way down the wall. Underneath there were scratches. The scratches and marks on the wall were tally marks. He must have been keeping track of how long he was in the asylum, I think to myself.
I place my palm flat against the wall, running my hand down the scratches and marks on the wall.
I'm in Luke's room, he has just gotten out of bed. He immediately goes to the wall I had just touched. He carefully pulls back a bit of the wallpaper, before taking a small rock and creating a tally on the wall.
A nurse then comes in to give him his daily medicine. He quickly takes his medicine, not waning a punishment.
He's then ushered outside to exercise. The other patients were outside as well. Some sat alone, others stood in small groups making small talk.
His eyes begin to scan the patients, trying to find Lillian. She was usually waiting by the door for him. How odd, he thought to himself.
He then saw an awful sight. Down by the pond a nurse began to scream, holding a small girls body. She was screaming about drowning, and the doctor rushed the girls body inside.
It was Lillian. Luke's blood began to boil, she hadn't drowned. In fact, she was quite a good swimmer. Luke had taught her how to swim, in that very pond. Of course they did this in secret, patients weren't allowed to enter the pond.
I watched as Luke ran into the building, no longer caring about getting fresh air. He runs to the doctors office and through the door open.
The sight only makes him angrier. The doctor is making out with his secretary, while she sits on his lap.
Luke rushes over to them, throwing the young girl off the doctor. Luke punches the doctor in the face. I almost cringe at the sound, I think he broke the doctors nose.
Luke holds the doctor up against the wall by his collar.
"How dare you?! A young girl was just murdered and you don't even care!" Luke bellowed
The doctor didn't respond, instead he continued to try to get out of Luke's grip. Luke looked quite scary at the moment.
He punched the doctor again, causing him to fall to the floor. The secretary had already ran to get help.
Luke kicked the doctor over and over again, causing him to groan in pain. Nurses began to rush in, immediately taking Luke from the room. The doctor is helped up from the ground and is walked to his chair.
Luke is still breathing heavily, and trying to fight off the nurses.
"She was murdered!" He screams as he's being taken down the hall.
The few patients that were in the halls simply turned the other way, not wanting to be brought into this mess.
Luke's taken to an operating room and strapped to a table. He recognized this room as the place they did electro shock therapy. He had been here a couple of times, but for minor punishments.
"The doctor will be with you shortly" One of the nurses says before sauntering out the door.
Luke continued to struggle against the restraints, even though he knew he wasn't getting out of them. The only nurse left in the room to watch him started to do some paperwork.
Another patient walked into the room. It was a girl, she had with her an iron polisher. She began to clean the floor, probably being punished for doing something wrong.
The nurse payed her no attention as she continued to fill out the papers in front of her. Suddenly screams filled the room, and another nurse rushes in.
"Please come help! Calum is refusing to take his medication! He's attacked one of the nurses!"
The nurses run out of the room, completely forgetting about the two patients. Luke lay still, finally giving up on trying to escape.
Suddenly the girl is face to face with Luke. A sinister smile is plastered on her face. No words were exchanged between them before the girl uses her iron polisher as a weapon, killing Luke.
Luke was completely defenseless as he was strapped to the bed. When the nurse returned she is greeted by Luke's bloody dead body.
The other patient was no where to be seen. The nurse runs out of the room yelling for all patients to return to their rooms.
Luke was killed for absolutely no reason. He was completely defenseless, and hadn't even said a word to the other patient. Yet, he was still murdered. I suppose there were some people in this asylum who actually were insane.
