Chapter 9| Goodbye.

I slept on Shawn's bed, we didn't "sleep" though. He's still sad about Nattie leaving and she's leaving today as well. He's gonna go help her. So, he woke up early. When I woke up, he had already finished taking a shower. He was in the kitchen, eating cereal.

"So, how are you doing?" I asked him.

"I'm good."

"Wow you got over that fast."

"Well a little bit sad but I'm good."

"Oh I see."

"I'm losing the girl I like and a friend."

"I know Shawn but she's gonna be happy in college with her friends and that's important to you, isn't it?"

He nodded, "Of course."

"Good."

I sat next to him.

"Uhhh, next week, I have to take care of my sister's kids." He complained.

"Why?"

"She's gonna be in Texas and she's doing something and leaving her kids here for me to take care of, I'm gonna kill them."

"You're lucky I was a babysitter before."

"You were?" He gave me a curious look.

"Yeah, how old are they?"

"Well they're twins that are 2 years old and a 5-month old baby boy."

"Twins?"

He nodded, "Yup, twins."

"Boy and boy, girl and girl, or girl and boy."

(He giggled), "What?"

"Eww Shawn not that.....I mean the twins."

"Oh they are a girl and a boy."

"That's easy."

"Really?"

"Yeah, 10 year olds are nightmares."

He checked his watched, "I gotta go."

"Okay."

He grabbed, a banana, a cup of coffeé, and left.

I did my morning routine and watched comedy cartoons.

I walked to Nattie's house, her friends were helping her pack as well, I bought her plumerias (type of flower search it up), a ballooon that said "See you soon", and a necklace that read: "S&N", for Shawn and Nattie.

Her friends noticed me.

"Who are you?"

"I'm Nattie's friend, where is she?"

"Nattie?" A girl playfully questioned.

"Shut up Jessica, she's inside." Another girl told me, pointing at Nattie's house, and with a smile.

"Thank you."

I walked inside. I saw her, she was trying to pick up something heavy, I put everything on the table.

"Let me help you."

"Shawn, what are you doing here?" She inquired, hugging me, I hugged her back.
