Safeguard

(Cause sometimes there is always a simple rational explanation for everything 😅)

For Silent_Shipper, the first ever fanfic writer I followed and whose writing inspires me

They were en route to the hotel, heads bobbing to the radio, wide smiles plastered on their faces. Just by looking at them you could feel the happiness they were radiating.

He notices that for some time now, she has been awfully quiet. And everyone knows perfectly well that when you are with her, there is never a 'dull moment'.

'You okay?'

'Ya...'

'Should I change the station?'

'No, it's alright'

'Are you sleepy or tired? You must be worn out from all those practice sessions the choreographers put us through '

'I'm okay..', she fidgets in her seat.

'Its something bothering you? Don't tell me you checked your Twitter. You could atleast have not done it today for once', he grimaces. Cause no one than him knows better how all those issues trouble her.

'Every one is celebrating.. nothing is wrong '

'Then what..'

'I'M FINE!!!!'

She regrets the moment the words leave her mouth. Instantly she felt his demeanor stiffen, hurt evident from his expressive eyes. He immediately diverts his attention to the road and drives on as soon as the light turns green.

'Huy...'

'Huuuyyy... Sorry na..'

'Its fine..'

'Hey, look at me.. sorry na.. sorry... please... please ', she pleads, her own troubles long forgotten

'Im sorry na.. I shouldn't have said it.. okay?? Sorry..'

He doesn't respond, eyes glued to the road. She knows that when he is angry or frustrated, instead of lashing it all out he becomes extremely quiet. And will only talk back when he is all calm down.

Unless...

'What the.. .. Mennnng... stop.. I said stop.. for God's sake I am... driving... noo', he cries out as she suddenly begins to pinch his every single ticklish spot.

'Look.. just stop...'

'No....'

'Please...'

'First say you forgive me'

'You didn't do anything.. wrong...'

'Say it'

'I forgive youuuuu'

'And you accept my apology '

'Okay... please just stoppp'

And with one last pinch, she finally relaxes back into her seat while he tries to overcome his shallow breathing

' For heaven's sake, i was driving.. We could have had an accident'

'The road's almost empty.. and I was careful'

'Still'

'I'll be cautious next time '

*A moment later*

'Care to explain the reason behind that outburst ', he asks in a low voice.

And just like that she suddenly remembers everything and starts to rock back and forth in her seat

'I'm waiting '

'You'll laugh..'

'Why would I do that...?'

'You will..'

'Try me'

* A heartbeat later*

' I need to go to the CR'

And even though he promised , he still couldn't stop the abrupt laugh

' I told you sooo.. Why do I even.. Look I was all drained out from the production number and anxiety.. And the heat wasn't helping either.. But I was supposed to go to the CR' before going on our date.. But with all the last goodbyes and hugs and photos, it slipped through my mind.. And.. are you even listening????

'Sure I am', he looks at her and then diverts his eyes back to the road, as if looking for something

'What are you doing?'

'Looking for a 7/11'

Cause he is the problem solver. He needs to make everything right for her.

'Ahaha... there it is.... I'll park the car here okay?'

'Thanks', she gives him a hug and quickly opens the door.

He smiles. Just like her to bottle up her worries.

A few minutes have passed and he starts to worry about her. Just as he was about to get out of the car, he spots her making her way to the car, her hand holding something

'What took you so long?', as she makes herself comfortable again

' I got stopped by some fans'

'What you got there?'

'Safeguard'

'Huh?', he knows she is random. But this is too random

'I was just making my way to the door when out of nowhere those girls came out asking for a photo. And then they started to inquire what I was doing here. And I felt so sheepish telling them the truth, that I just randomly grabbed the first thing from the shelf and waved it at them'

'Haha... What are they going to make of this.. the phenomenal star buying an ordinary soap...lol'

'What can a simple soap do?'

Little did she know that she will soon find out.

(P.S. I'm not sure if 7/11 does have CR's though' 😅😂)
