Chapter 31

Annabeth POV
After Percy and I's talk yesterday I felt better about going on this two day trip. But not fully so I enlisted the help of Nico and we packed half of my bag full of heavy metal objects.

"Let's see them lift this bad boy." I say with a triumphant smile turning to Nico. "I will be back. I promise." Nico just nods his head.

"Need help with your bag?" Zoe asked. I nodded my head and she lifted the bag with no problem and started carrying it to the car. Me and Nico's jaw drops.

What is she the She-Hulk?! Nico and I literally put all the weights in there from our parents indoor gym.  "Come on Annie." Thalia shouts from the car. I slowly walk to the car and get in.

As soon as both of my feet were in the car Zoe sped off. I scrambled to shut the car door and put on my seatbelt she is a scary driver.

Two long, silent, boring hours later we arrived at the campus. Ok Annabeth smile and be nice. With a smile plastered on my face I undid my seatbelt and stepped out of the car.

A huge group of girls came out and what I am assuming is their leader because she was wearing an all silver pant suit. I thought the silver pantsuit was a little overdone but whatever floats her boat I guess.

"Welcome Annabeth we are glad to have you join us-" I cut off the silver lady instantly. "I'm just staying here for two days, that's all."

So many gasps are heard it was like just by saying that I sucked all their oxygen away. Weird. I wonder what would happen if I told them I had a boyfriend.

I am about to speak but I think Bianca realized what I was about to do and cut me off. "Annabeth this is Artemis our leader." Ah hah so I was right this is the leader.
They give me a tour and this place is HUGE. It's actually really impressive. They show me that they have archery lessons and self defense classes to fend off the pigs. I assume by pigs they mean men.
I am showed to my room and told that in exactly ten minutes someone will come get me for archery lessons. Before I can say anything back they shut the door. I walk in to the bathroom and find a pair of clothes layer out for me with a note 'archery'.
I slide the clothes on and put my hair up in a quick ponytail. I pick my phone up and decide to text Percy.

A: hey
P: hi how is it? They haven't tried mind control on you have they? 😬
A: not yet but I expect that's going down tonight. 😉
P: haha ok. Anyways.... Halloween is coming up! What do you want to dress up as?
A: idk but I have to go they are summoning me 👻
P: ?
A: they are knocking on the door
P: ohhhhh ok 😘 bye

I didn't have time to answer his text because the knocking turned into banging. I threw my phone on the bed and opened the door. "Sheesh I'm coming."

I smile at them and walk towards the archery fields. They hand me a bow and some arrows. Then they start trying to explain how to do everything to me it was getting on my nerves so I just pulled the bow back lined up, aimed, and shot it.

Of course it was a bulls eye because I have had plenty of training with a bow. The girl who was trying to explain things to me just had her mouth in the shape of an 'o'.

"That was very good now try to hit a moving target." A what?! That is something I have never done before. What's worse is the moving target is a guy with a target strapped to his side.

"I'm not going to shoot at him." I exclaim looking at Artemis like she is crazy. "Yes you will, it's good practice." The tone in her voice leaves no room for questions.

Ok I can do this. I pull my bow back and lock in the target for where he is about to move to. I release the arrow just as he takes a step towards the spot and it hits the target. Thank god! I didn't kill him.

Yeah I'm done with this for the day. I put the bow and arrows down and just walk away. I need to talk to Percy.

A/n: hi! I hope you like the story!! Summer is almost over nooooo! I don't have many classes with my friends which means I have to socialize with NEW people. Ugh. Anyways I will probably post 1 or 2 more chapters after this today. Enjoy :)
