*Taylor's POV*

"CAMERON! TAYLOR! YOU'VE GOTTA GET OUTTA BED!" My mom yelled while standing by the staircase.

I could hear Cameron's groan all the way from the my room, even with the door shut! I stretched and turned over, pulling the bedcovers over my head so I couldn't hear my mom's continuous shouting. I thought to myself:

Come on, Mom! I've finished school! Why do I have to get up so early?

My thoughts were interrupted by my phone vibrating, signalling I had a text.

Gracie:P - Hey girly! Hope you haven't forgotten graduation next Wednesday! You've gotta be at school in your cap and gown at 12pm sharp! And remember, you're the junior valedictorian, so you've gotta give a speech too! Don't worry. Just wing it;) see ya next week, speak to you soon! Loves ya:) xxx

Oh my gosh! GRADUATION! I've gotta give a speech! Ah! I've gotta arrange with Mom how I'm getting there....maybe Ross and the Lynches will wanna come with us! I'll have to ask them later....

My thoughts were interrupted once again, but this time by the door being flung open and my quilt being ripped off me. I squinted in the blinding light to see my mother staring down at me, with Cameron, who was walking behind her like a zombie.

"TAYLOR MARIE PARKS!" My mom shouted in my face. "GET YOUR BUTT OUT OF BED BEFORE I DRAG YOU OUT OF IT!"

I groaned and flopped out of bed, walking to the bathroom to pee, then came back out to face my mom and Cameron.

"Come on, both of you! We've gotta have breakfast really quick or we're gonna be late!" My mom said as she briskly started walking towards the stairs.

"Mom," I moaned as me and Cameron sloped behind her. "Why are we up so early? And why have we gotta eat so early?"

"You seriously don't remember?" My mom said as she stopped near the staircase.

Both Cameron and I shook our heads in confusion.

"We're gonna go to the beach with the Lynches for the day! And we said we would get there at 11, and it's 10 now! So if you wanna get there in time I suggest you-" My mom was stopped short as me and Cameron looked at each other with grins in our faces, and sprinted down the stairs to go get breakfast.

We quickly ate some cereal and then ran back upstairs to get ready. Despite the fact that we were only going to the beach, we both still wanted to look our best for Ross and Rydel.

"Ok, Cam," I said quickly. "Here's the plan: shower, get dressed, grab whatever beach things you need, and get down to the front door by 10.45, ok?" He nodded quickly. "ok, now BREAK!"

We both ran to our rooms where we showered and got dressed. I changed from my grey sweatpants and white vest into a blue strapless bikini, with a pair of denim shorts and thin blue crop top, plus flip-flops. I quickly straightened my hair. Then I gathered all the things I'd need for the beach: towel, sunscreen, wetsuit and surfboard (of course!) plus my phone and some money for food and drink, since we were staying on the beach all day. I put my sunglasses on and bolted to the door.

I checked my phone: 10.40 am

Yes! I made it down in time.

My mom came downstairs and we waited for Cameron.

He came running down at exactly 10.45. We all laughed as we locked the house, and started to walk to the beach.

We hadn't realised how close the beach actually was to our house, so we were there by 10.50. We stood by the beach snack shop and waited for the Lynches to arrive. Soon enough, we saw a bunch of blonde and brunette heads heading towards us, and I heard a girly squeal as Cameron ran over to Rydel, picking her up and spinning her round while pecking her lips. I looked over to my mom, who looked puzzled.
