Maine watched as Alden and her own Dad form a quick plan to transfer her into another room without getting noticed. Her hear is more then ready to escape her chest, she's not even sure if they'll still survive the night now that they're cornered and wounded.
"Maine? are you alright?" Alden asked her.
"Yes."
"I'll carry you okay? we have to transfer rooms, now."
Maine didn't even get the chance to talk, Alden already removed her dextrose and carried her in his arms. The guards opened the door and walked out of the hallway to shoot whoever it is that will come up the stairs.
"Where are we going?" she asked him while they're pushing their way against the crowd of panicking people that used the elevator to escape the commotion that is going on downstairs.
"Morgue."
"Morgue? what the hell is wrong with you?" she asked, terrified.
"Maine, no one checks the morgue okay? especially the corpse cabinet."
"What? I don't want to, Alden!"
"That or you'll end up as a real corpse. Maine ... you have to do this ... this is the only way." he replied before kicking the morgue's door open. Alden accidentally tightened his grip on Maine's side, causing her to scream in pain.
"Ow!"
"I'm sorry." he replied before placing her on a chair. Maine's genuinely terrified, she doesn't even know if she can hide inside a cadaver cabinet.
Alden started pulling the units out by one, checking to see if there's still a vacant. "You're gonna give me a heart attack." she then told him while trying to catch her breath.
"I'm sorry but we don't have much time. Maine, you have to .. here ... now." he told her. The door then suddenly opened, almost causing her to have a heart attack. The young woman's chest actually hurt and so she had to hold it and take a succession of deep breaths to calm herself down.
"Dad, you'll be the death of me." she said as he approached her.
"I'm sorry sweetheart. Now get in there." he replied before carrying her in his arms. Even if her entire body is shaking and her back just started shivering from the cold metal bed , she di what they told her to do.
"Babe, here's a gun okay? Be safe ... we'll come back for you." Alden told her. He leaned in and they kissed right in front of their father. Maine closed her eyes, wanting to remember as much as she can in that moment. The taste of his lips, the warmth of his hands, the softness of his skin ... everything. She doesn't wanna let go because she's afraid that the kiss might be their last.
But then Alden pulled away.
"Take care, your Dad and another guard will be here to guard you. I have to go , I love you ... bye." Alden told her before running out of the morgue, leaving a very worried Maine behind.

Alden then started pushing himself against the crowd of people that are trying their best to escape the mayhem on the ground floor. But while doing so, he noticed how some of the goons already infiltrated the hallway. He quickly turned his back on them and joined the others that are running towards the fire exits.
But then he heard a series of loud screams from the fire exit, that's when he realized that maybe their only way out is blocked too. It only means one thing, they have to fight for their lives.
