Natalie's POV
I'm still on my knees, as I finish praying.
Mom and dad finally stop crying after about twenty minutes.
"Hey, you guys okay?" I ask them softly.
My heart skips a beat, as I notice how big, red , and puffy, my mom and dad's eyes are. I've never seen them like this, so I start to feel nervous and panicky.
We all get up, and sort of wobbly walk towards the white sectional in our living room. The TV's still on, but the newscaster is currently giving the weather report, so I shut it off as I sit down.
"Let's go to her," I say, a calmness spreading over my body, a confirmation that that's the right thing to do.
My parents nod in unison, staring at each other, as if looking for confirmation.
"Let's go," my dad says, "I know where it is, Iv'e passed that school dozens of times on my way to work, and this whole time...." he stops, staring off into one of the light blue walls in our living room.
I grab my brown wool sweater from the coathanger near our front door, and pull it on, feeling it's softness encase my body.
Jesus, please... help us, and save that girl... my sister, I pray in my head before pulling the front mahogany door, of our two story home.
I look back at our home; big, a rich cream color, with silver linings; a home that currently houses,God, my parent's and I, but I feel, that very soon, it will also house... my sister. I just feel it.
We set off in our red colored, 2013 Dodge Caravan, and sit silently, all of us stuck in our own thoughts.
The car ride takes, not even fifteen minutes, and a weird chill settles over me, as I stare at the girl standing on the roof.
It's like looking at a mirror in the distance, like those at carnivals, the ones that thwart your image to make you look thin or taller. This is just like that, except the image I'm seeing is frail, with my same hair, but dull in color.
A blood curling scream escapes my mouth, as I see my mirrored self take a step foward, and fall.
I'm still screaming, my heart about to leap from my chest, when a white, blinding light explodes in the same spot my sister fell at.
The light, it's strangely..... familiar.
