Severn, Maryland:
Toni's House:It's been a couple of hours since the funeral of professor Howard took place, and Toni has been crying nonstop. Ken left Evan at Tara's house because he doesn't want him to see his mother like this.
"Toni, it's okay. It's better if he's gone, no more suffering and no more pain. Rejoice that he's in a better place, knowing that he's with God now." Ken said. Toni turned away from Ken and looked out the window.
"Let me ask you a question, who motivates you?" Ken asked. Toni was wiping her tears with her hands and tried to hold back from crying.
"My biggest drive is my son, and my parents. Also professor Howard, but he's gone now, so that's no longer the case." Toni said while turning to look at Ken's face.
"Well, if that's no longer the case, then I'm assuming that your parents aren't your drives either. Look Toni, just because he died doesn't mean he should stop being your motivation. My parents and sister are gone for good. I think about them every minute of the day, thinking what if my sister didn't commit suicide or my parents not going on their trip. I have nobody left who's related to me. All my family is gone. Be thankful that you've got Evan and Tara. I've got no one of my own." Ken said sitting down with tears filling his eyes. He turned away from Toni so she won't see him all emotional.
"Is that why you're so eager to start a family of our own?" Toni asked. Ken put his thumb up, meaning he agreed. He was too choked up to say anything.
"Kenny, please look at me." Toni said with tears streaming down her face. He nodded his head and still looked the opposite direction from her. She got up and sat on his lap and their lips met. A simple yet passionate kiss was planted and she pulled back.
"What was that for?" Ken asked while grabbing her waist, and place his left hand on her thighs.
"To show you that I love you, and to also show you that we can start our family soon." Toni smiled. "How does that sound?" Toni asked. He had a weak smile on his face.
"That's really sweet and all, but I want us to finish school before any babies come. I promise you next year, we'll have a boat load of kids." Ken laughed.
"Uh no. I want my coochie tight, maybe two kids would be nice. I just simply hate the fact that Evan is playing by himself, he needs a sibling." Toni smiled.
"Well you've got a point there. But I'm going to sleep, I'm a little tired." Ken said while yawning. He kissed her forehead and went upstairs. An hour later, he's in bed and sees Toni sleeping and he picks up his car keys and quietly leaves the house, going to surprise Toni with something she loves.
