Severn, Maryland:
Toni and Kenneth's House:

Ken and Toni decided to have a relaxing day with Evan at home. It was ten in the morning, and Toni and Evan were still asleep. Kenneth was downstairs, and already prepared Toni and Evan's breakfast, which was still in the microwave. Ken ate his breakfast meal, that consisted of bacon, French toast, eggs, and a waffle. He was on his phone, talking to David and he felt a pair of warm and soft hands covering his eyes.

"Morning sweetie." Toni said biting his ear.

"I'll call you back, D. Alright, later." Ken said to David, then hung up.

"Morning Toni." Ken said. Toni hopped onto the granite countertop and smiled.

"What?" Ken laughed.

"I smell food, but I don't see anything." Toni said folding her arms across her chest.

"For your information, your breakfast along with Evan's is in the microwave. Enjoy it." Ken said. He put his plate in the sink and went upstairs. Toni sighed and walked up the stairs, laying in bed with his hands behind his head.

"You okay?" Toni asked. Ken nodded his head without looking at Toni. He looked at the television and watched the basketball game between the Clippers and Knicks. Toni blocked the tv and turned it off.

"Why did you do that?" Ken asked frustrated. He became annoyed quickly and sat up in the bed with his arms folded across his chest.

"You're not okay, I can tell. We never keep things from each other and I don't want to start that habit." Toni said.

"I just want to be alone, for now." Ken said.

"You want to break up with me?" Toni asked. Ken sighed sharply.

"Dammit Tone. I don't want to break up with you. I just want to be alone for like an hour, or two. I need to clear my mind that's all." Ken said. He grabbed the keys to his car and left driving around Maryland, leaving Toni and Evan home alone. Ken drove to a lake and watched the ducks in the water. He looked at his watch and saw that it was 4pm, noticing that he was gone for six hours. He decided to drive back home, and entered the house.

"Don't you dare think about coming here and gone for hours. I was worried sick about you, Kenneth. Evan wanted you and it took me hours to put him down for his nap. Where were you? No call, no nothing." Toni said. Ken put his hand into his sweatpants pocket.

"I went to a lake and was just thinking about everything." Ken said.

"Why did you leave me, Ken? Anything could have happened and you think it's cool to come back home and act like nothing ever happened. My goodness, so damn selfish." Toni said.

"I left because I wanted to be alone, I just wanted to have some space, because I feel like I'm trapped in this relationship and I realized that my life revolves around you." Ken said.

"So all those times you said I was your world, you didn't mean that?" Toni asked. She turned around and bit her bottom lip.

"I did." Ken whispered

"I never liked liars, you know. Just pack your things and get out, and take everything that you bought, I don't want anything that reminds me of you." Toni said. Ken sticks his hand out.

"What?" Toni asked.

"You said you don't want anything that reminds me of you, or everything I bought so therefore I want the engagement ring." Ken said. Toni started to tear up and took off the ring placing it into the palm of his hand. He left immediately and slammed the door, waking up a crying Evan.
