Take Me

Part Twenty Three.

Severn, Maryland:
Toni & Ken's home:

It's been three weeks since Toni has given birth, and life cannot be any better. Evan is a big brother, and in a couple of months, Ken and Toni will be graduating from Bowie State.

"Who's the cutest baby? You are, you are." Toni cooed. Ken just came back from putting Junior in his crib. Kennedy was wide awake, laughing and smiling.

"She has your beautiful smile." Ken smiled. Toni kissed his cheek, and Kennedy started to cry.

"What's the matter? You want love too?" Ken asked. He placed a kiss on her cheek, and she squealed. Toni loved seeing Ken interact with his daughter; how could she be this blessed?

"I'm fat." Toni blurted. Her second pregnancy made her gain forty-six pounds, but it looked great on her.

"No, you're not fat. You're beautiful." Ken said. Toni broke down, crying. Ken became a little confused.

"Did I say something wrong?" Ken asked. Toni ran into the bathroom, locking the door. He sighed and placed Kennedy in her bassinet.

He was in front of the bathroom door, thinking of the right words to say. He didn't want her to become more emotional.

"Tone? Baby, open the door." Ken said softly. Toni opened the door, with tears streaming down her face.

"What's the matter?" Ken asked. Toni placed her head on Ken's chest and began to cry even more.

"It's just that, I don't feel comfortable in my own skin. I hate the way I look, I'm scared you're gonna leave me for a skinny chick, and leave me alone to raise three kids." Toni explained.

"Toni, I love you. I will never leave you, and I love the way you look. I'm thankful that I get to be with you because you gave me the best thing ever. You made me become a father and soon to be husband." Ken smiled. Toni looked up, and Ken kissed her lips, a few good times.

"I love you too, Ken." Toni said, wiping her eyes. Ken heard Junior crying, from the nursery.

"Sounds like he's hungry." Toni sighed. She went back into the bedroom, and waited for Ken to bring Junior. A small smile appeared on Toni's face, when she saw Ken carrying their son.

"It's alright. Mommy is here." Toni cooed. She took off her shirt and bra, and began feeding Junior. Ken stared at Toni, in awe. She felt him stare at her, so she turned around.

"You're so beautiful." Ken smiled. Toni blushed.

"You aight." Toni giggled.

"I'm aight? I see how it is." Ken laughed. Toni playfully rolled her eyes.

"I'm kidding. You're very handsome, Mr. Edmonds." Toni said. Ken has a cheesy smile on his face.

"It's 'daddy' to you." Ken winked.
