No, Audrey It's Normal To Be Sad:

I met Luke where he said he would be after school and we were on our way to pick up Maya and Jaxon. "You sure you don't want me to go to your house with you? You'll be fine alone? Because you know I can take care of them while you take a nap. You really need one." Luke asks.

"It's a nice offer but I'll be okay, I'll just talk to my mom when she gets home tonight." I nodded my head, trying to get myself to believe that was a good idea. "I don't know if you should do that." Luke shakes his head. He knows my mom is an angry drunk and that she is capable of many things.

"I'll be fine, and besides, if I need you at all tonight I'll call you okay?" We were just reaching Jaxon's daycare so we stopped a few feet away from the door, "Okay, No hesitation, just call okay?" I nodded my head as Luke backed away and smiled. He turned around and began his decent towards home.

I Picked Jaxon up, and then Maya. Once we were home I sat them in the living room and let them play with toys while I sat in my room and did my homework. When I heard the door close I listened for her bedroom to close, But instead I heard Maya scream, "Mommy!" In a very excited tone.

I put my pencil down and go upstairs where I found Maya, Mom and Jaxon playing with the toys on the ground. Mom looked up and saw me in the doorway. "Oh hey sweetie how was your day?" She asks. This always happens. She comes home drunk for days at a time and then she comes home fine for one day and pretending like nothing happened.

I take a deep breath, "It was good, Kendall invited me to a party at her house on Saturday so will you stay home to watch Jaxon and Maya?" I ask her, biting m bottom lip. "Of course! Not a problem. Who is Kendall again?" She has known Kendall since we became best friends in Kindergarten. Kendall has spend countless weekends over here.

"Uh, Just a friend from school." She nodded, and I go back downstairs. I decided to take a small break from homework and text the group chat.

Me: Guys... The weirdest thing just happened. :|

KENDALL BABYYYYY : What happened?? Did your mum bring a guy home? Bc I swear to god if she did I will puke.

Me: No it's not that, She hasn't talked to a guy in months lmao.

Micah boo : What happened?

Lucas mah boyyy : It's not bad is it? Do you need me to come over?

Me: No I'm fine, My Mom came home sober, and she's playing with Jax and Maya. :/ it's so weird.

KENDALL BABYYYYY : Holy shit take a picture. This only happens rarely.

Lucas mah boyyy :That's amazing, how did she pull that off? And did you talk to her?

Micah boo : OH MY GOD IT'S A MIRACLE!

Me: Right? I'm about to take pics, and yeah I did, i can go to the party Saturday ;) and Michah I KNOW RIGHT!! AAAHHHHHH THIS ISN'T MY MOTHER!!

I finish my homework a few hours later and meet my mom, the the two kiddos in the kitchen. Mom was making some chicken, mixed veggies and potatoes for dinner. Wow, she's even cooking.
