As my eyes zone out,
And my mind gets hazy.
My parents are about
To see me being lazy...
They were on a date.
I heard their car pull up.
I don't care.
My mind is full of hate.
I know what they'll say.
The laughing plant kicks in.
They'll want to ship me off the boarding school.
Or throw me in a loony bin.
They were in the truck,
I heard the door slam.
I don't care.
My mind says.
My mouth says "Just my luck. "
They stumble up the stairs,
With a beer bottle in each hand.
They laugh as I scream,
And crimson seeps through my tan.
And as I lay on my floor,
Cold and bloody.
"I don't fucking care."
I mumble through my hoodie.
And I force myself,
Once and for all.
Into a blissful sleep,
Where I will never fall.
