The thing about motivation
is that it leaves people
in a day
week
month
year.
leaves you empty
like the house I lived in
for most of my life
barren.
like the eyes of someone passed
so much life one day
and then just gone.
they leave
like the motivation to
continue work or school
or being happy
or doing makeup
or painting.
laughing
until your stomach is
sore
like your heart when your
favorite person leaves you
or a sad song plays
plucking at your feelings
until they snap.
Creating something like that
requires motivation.
so what to do
when there's none left?
