Annabeths POV
"Good morning, Ryder" I smiled gently waking him up.
"Amsoxs xkemxl wmxkfme smcjs kcmsod" he babbled
"Do you wanna go wake sissy up?" I asked him, brushing his hair back.
He kicked his feet in and out happily.
"I'll take that as a yes!" I said picking him up and walking over to Lily's room, as Percy was already at work, I had the day to myself and the kids.
I placed Ryder on Lily and shook her awake.
"M-mommy, I-I am really cold, and I have a headache, and stomach ache, and my throat hurts and, I don't feel good.." Lily said with a raspy voice.
"Alright sweetheart, here is a sweater" I said handing her a sweater, and checking her temperature, "it looks like you have a fever, so you rest up for a little longer, and I'll plan a doctors appointment." I said grabbing the phone and dialing Dr. Skylar.
*ring ring* *ring ring*
"Hello, this is Dr. Skylar, of The Children's Office, how may I help you today?" She asked
"Good morning, my daughter, Lily Jackson, is not feeling the best, do you have any available appointments today?" I asked
"Hold on, let me check..... We have 3 appointments, 1 at 9, 1 at noon, and 1 at 3." She said
"Could I reserve the....noon appointment?" I asked
"Absolutely, I'll see your there."
"Thank you so much, see you there!" I responded and with that hung up the phone.
"Alright Lily, I scheduled and appointment for you, for noon." I told her as she was coughing up a fit, "t-thanks" she said with a raspy voice.
"Do you want some soup? " I asked "so I can give you some Tylenol?"
She shook her head yes.
"Alrighty, some chicken noodle soup, coming right up!" I said grabbing Ryder and walking away to put him in his playpen while I cooked Lily her food.
1 hour later after breakfast/lunch
"Let's go get you dressed, Mr. Ryder" I said taking him out of the playpen and up the stairs to my room, where his clothes are located as of right now.
I set him on the floor and he crawled with me with his pacifier in his mouth while I went to his closet to look for clothes. "Perfect! Jeans, plaid Onesie, little bow tie, socks, and sneakers" I said grabbing a diaper and putting Ryder on the changing table.
I pulled off his pants and changed his diaper, then I put on the plaid Onesie and jeans.
"Calm down Ryder." I said holding his legs in one hand so he couldn't kick them like crazy. Then I clipped on the bow tie, and slipped the socks on, while putting the little converse on, and tying them.
"You look handsome!" I told him while I picked him up and went downstairs.
"Alright, I'm going to let Ryder play a bit, and that means you have to get dressed, what do you want to wear?" I asked Lily
She shrugged her shoulders. "How about sweatpants, a sports bra, long sleeved shirt, and a matching sweatshirt to the pants, and a messy bun?" I asked
She nodded her head yes, before sneezing and coughing.
"Alright, I'll go get it, but you have to go to the bathroom and change, you can't change in the living room. " I told her as I walked up the stairs to her room and grabbed the clothes. Then I headed down stairs and handed Lily the clothes.
3rd person POV
Lily got dressed slowly, and then puked in the toilet.
"M-mommy, I just threw up.." She said raspy voice, fully clothed walking out of the bathroom.
"Alright honey, you lay on the couch, I'll get you a bucket and do your hair." Annabeth said grabbing a bucket and walking over to the couch.
"One messy bun coming right up." Annabeth said pulling the child's long brown hair into a pony tail, and then twisted it and made a bun, finished with a scrunchy.
"Alright, we're ready to go" The mother said getting Ryder out of the playpen and walking to the car, Lily right behind her.
At the doctors
"Lily Jackson, I'm ready for her" Dr. Skylar said
"Right here" Annabeth said holding Ryder, getting up, and Lily walking behind.
"First, I'm going to weigh you Lily, if you'd just get on the scale." The Doctor said as Lily got on the scale.
"Alright, let's see...you weigh 53 pounds, and you're 14? Am I correct?" The doctor said
Lily nodded her head yes.
"You're a little under weight, but you are growing, so you'll have to eat more. Follow me" Skylar said walking to room 5 and setting her stuff down.
"So, what seems to hurt?" The doctor asked Lily or Annabeth
"She has a sore throat, headache, stomach pains, the last 2 times I checked, she had a fever, and she has been sneezing and coughing a lot, as well as she puked a little earlier." The mother of the children said
"Alright, those sound like flu symptoms, but to really find out, Lily is going to have to pee in a cup. The bathroom is down the hall, first door on the left and there are cups in there." She said
"Alright, come on Lily." Annabeth said holding Ryder and walking towards the bathroom.
After peeing in the cup and handing it to the doctor
"And now we wait. " Annabeth said getting out some Cheerios for Ryder.
15 minutes later
"Ok, so I tested Lily's DNA and it looks like 100% flu, I can send the antibiotics to a CVS or Walgreens, your pick, and she has to take 1 pill twice a day for 15 days. " the doctor told them
"Alright, that's no problem, how about a CVS." Annabeth replied
"Alright, I'll fax the info right over and then you can pick it up and your free to go.
