Chapter 20- Gobalt Shrine Training

Riku and I had slept all night on the porch. We have done that ever since we were kids. We were so close you could not separate us. You still can’t today.

Everyone was still sleeping so Riku and I went in quietly. I went by the temple part of the house and went to my room. As I was heading I saw Yuna sleeping in the room just beside mine. I went in the room and kissed her on the forehead. She woke up as I sis and gave me a smile. “Hey Kakaru, you’re awake already,” said Yuna. I shook my head and then sat beside her. Riku went to his room and didn’t come out for the longest time. The sun had not risen yet so it was still a little dark.

“You were outside all night last night. What were you and your brother talking about,” asked Yuna. She took care of my brother for many years. She has a really close friendship with my brother.

“He wants to help us fight the final battle,” I said. “He also wanted to train with me,” I mumbled. Yuna knew I didn’t want him to risk his life but I guess he wants to repay me for all these years I risked mine. “He wants to be there for you now. You have kept him protected and now it’s his turn,” Yuna said with a smile.

She was right he wanted to repay me for all the times I protected him from Enari. Yuna looked up at me and kissed me. The others were awake and it was time to train in the shrine. Takuya came to where we were and we waited for Tsubasa out in the courtyard. Riku got his sword form his room and met us outside. Takuya and I already had our weapons on us. The girls were getting their weapons and finally met us outside as well.

Shortly after the girls came Tsubasa came to us in the courtyard. “So you guys ready to train in the shrine,” asked Tsubasa. We looked at each other and then back at Tsubasa and both nodded our heads. My brother and the girls did the same. “Alright then if you’re ready let us enter the first shrine,” said Tsubasa.

The shrine was under the house so it wasn’t far from where we were. It seems like a weird place to put a shrine but with the house resembling a small temple it was the perfect place for it. A lot of the village houses were a lot bigger than what they use to be. Gobalt has grown in the last eighteen years. It has become one of the biggest towns on Amora but the people in Gobalt still call it a village. My grandpa’s house was the first one to grow in Gobalt because of the shrine below. After that every building in the village grew in size. The villagers agreed that my grandpa’s house would become a small temple for the shining dragon shrine and it’s like that for any village that has a shrine of the shining dragon. Since then Gobalt has changed from a small village to a big town but nobody in Amora calls it a town.

As we entered the shrine, Riku was amazed at how the shrine looked inside and how big it was. The shrine here looked almost the same as the Cenigrad shrine, which is the main shrine and the only one you can live in. “Wow I have never been in here before. I never knew this was even here,” said Riku with excitement.

Just as he said that I had a flashback from that night. I gripped my hand in a fist and turned away and everyone notice that I did.

“Enari what are you doing. Stop you don’t know what you are doing. AHHHH!” said my parents. This is what you deserve for what you did,” said Enari. Mom, dad NOOO! Why did you kill them Enari, they didn’t do anything,” I said with tears in my eyes. When you get stronger come find me and avenge your parents with all of you anger and hatred,” said Enari. “Run Kakaru, get Yuna and Riku out of here. I’ll hold him off,” said Lloyd.
