Chapter 23

As she was getting ready for JJ's first meeting with his grandparents, she can't help but smile remembering the past days.

M was preparing dinner while JJ was on the floor assembling yet another Lego structure.

He's not paying too much attention to her, just giving her monosyllabic responses to her questions.
They both heard her phone ring and immediately her son ran to get the phone screaming, "Daddy, Daddy!"

"Dad! Are you coming home? Parking? Yehey!!! Mom's here, she's cooking for you, yes she misses you. Because I can see she's sad. We both miss you. Yup, see you!"

"Babe, go to yaya Pepe at maligo na! Dad's almost here & you're smelly!"

"No I'm not! And don't call me babe mommy, I'm not a baby anymore."

At kelan pa??? Nakuu! Nagmamadali na yata maging binata ang anak ko huhuhu! While JJ went off to take his bath, she heard a knock on her door. She made her way to the living room, hastily checking herself in the mirror. Uyy, nagpapaganda!

She opened the door & her breath caught in her throat, ang gwapo naman po! He gave her a big smile as she let him in.

"Hey, how was your trip, pagod?"

"Same old, same old. Si JJ?"

"Naliligo lang."

She was about to go back to the kitchen when he tugged at her hand with a little force making her fall on him, her hands landed on his chest. Face just inches apart. Oh my!

"Hi!" There's that tone again, like honey drippings, as his head approached hers for a kiss.

Syempre dahil nagulat, nakanganga na naman ang M, giving J full access to her mouth. She literally melted in his arms. Ito yun eh, ito yung kiss nagpasuko sa Bataan! Grabedad! Lumambot tuhod nya, ganito yata pakiramdam ng jellyfish.

Ay grabe naman makahigop si kuya! Wait lang, wait lang! Jeske nasa kabilang kwarto lang anak ko! Omg talaga, bat ansarap humalik neto, parang kinikiliti internal organs ko?!

She didn't realize both her arms are caressing his back, J's hand is on her nape pulling her closer, the other one on her back pressing her body to his. They faintly heard JJ singing in the bedroom so J reluctantly released her but he leaned his forehead to hers as they both catch their breaths.

"That's how much I missed you & how much I like your pabebe antics."

"Ganon? Di ko masyadong na-gets, pakiulit nga..

He happily obliged and she had to push him away dahil naririnig na niya si JJ palabas ng kwarto.

She quickly headed to the kitchen to hide her flushed cheeks & heard JJ excitedly talking nonstop. Tapos ayun, nagtatawanan na naman silang dalawa na parang mauubusan ng hininga. Then she heard them singing and what sounded like a ukelele.

Andami pasalubong ni J, all kinds of dried fish like danggit & chocolate mangoes. Yung iba daw for Nanay & Tatay in Bulacan. How thoughtful naman! He bought JJ a ukelele and they were talking about getting lessons.

After dinner, J helped M with the dishes para makapagharot siya on the sides, you know, like caressing her hands under the soap suds, rubbing his arms against hers plus mga titig niya na manyak! M finally gave up & told him that she'll prepare JJ for bed since it's getting late.
