They eased in on a routine. Being married to J is as exciting as she expected. Aside from the steamy nights they look forward to, J is as attentive to her every need as ever. Nakakakilig lang how thoughtful and loving he is.

It's a challenge to push him out the door in the mornings. Andaming alibi not to leave yet, and if he'll get his way, hihirit pa ng isang round before he leaves, even when he's fully-dressed! Nakakaloka!

JJ is enrolled at a play school near their home, he goes there after lunch but he has music & swimming lessons in the morning. Usually J drives him there, tapos babalik pa ng bahay para humarot!

Sometimes M wonders where he gets all this kalandian. Wala syang off-days, or off-minute. He reminds her of the energizer bunny, the SPG kind. He can turn anything innocent into a sexual situation. Nakakahiya when they're out in public, the way he looks at her makes her blush. Parang nakahubad ako kung tumitig eh. Grrrr!

He finds time to go to the grocery with her, happily pushes the cart while eyeing her tush and whispering sexual innuendos. And of course his unli-harot moves are ever present. He once wanted to buy a case of canned whipped cream, a whole box of 24 pieces! Much to Maine's embarassment.

One time, they were both giggling about something he whispered to her, making her swat his arm, when she saw and felt J stiffen uncomfortably, looking straight ahead. She turned to look at his line of sight and saw a lovely lady in her early 50s approaching them.

"RJ! Sabi ko na nga ba, it's you!"

She gave him a peck on both his cheeks and continued to stare at him.

"Hi, tita! Umm, by the way, this is Maine, my wife."

She said hello and offered her hand but the lady pulled her in for a hug.

"Oh it's so nice to meet you, Maine! Finally, the elusive RJ found his match!" She gave a melodious laugh.

She reached out to hold J's cold hand, and still wondering what's up with his not so friendly reaction. They continued making small talk until finally, J said they had to run. They said goodbye and hugged.

"J, is everything okay?"

"Yes, let's go, magbayad na tayo, I want to leave."

Kahit hindi pa sila tapos, she acquiesced. She immediately knew something's amiss. He was quiet the entire check out process. She kept touching his arm and pressing his hand, just to let him know she's there.

He gave a heavy sigh when they reached the car. She just rubbed his back and waited for him to talk to her. When he's ready.

They remained quiet throughout the short drive home. J deep in thought. She helped the manangs in putting away the stuff they bought to give J a little space. She made him his favorite ham & egg sandwich and a tall glass of orange juice.

She brought it out to where he's sitting at the lanai facing their garden. He's still deep in thought, brows furrowed. She went to sit on his lap, putting her arms around him, resting her head on his shoulder.

"Hey! What's wrong?"

"It's her! She's back in town!"

"Mom's ex-bff?"

"Yes!" He gave an exasperated sigh.

"So?"

"I just don't want her bringing back all those ugly memories."
