The wedding itself was a daze. They were not allowed to see each other one day before the wedding. Though someone explained the superstition to him, J was still reluctant to follow it. It was a first for both of them not to see each other for that long after finding one another again.
J's agitation seems funny & kilig to others but he seriously felt all his fears from five years ago come back. He only calmed down when M texted him sweet messages telling him she feels the same way but she's comforted by the fact it's only for a day, only for 24 hours. They had to contend with texting & calling. J's mom nearly confiscated his phone when he tried to sneak a Facetime vid-call.
Her heart still skips a beat whenever she remembers how handome he was when she first saw him on her wedding day. J and his mom prepared everything because they wanted to suprise her.
She only knows how her dress looks like. That's the only thing they shared to her about the wedding. She also invited three of her closest friends from the office because she genuinely wanted to share this part of her with them. They've been her only adult interaction outside of family & they've been very nice to her. She explained her 'lovestory' to them through email, after she was bombarded by calls & messages once the news of her engagement was made public.
The guestlist ballooned from the original 20 to 60 people. All of their immediate families wanted to be present at the civil rites ceremony. The rest were asked to go to the reception for the celebration.
She wore a simple white tube dress with yellow accent on her waist. J wore a Barong Tagalog with a single bud of yellow satin rose on his left breast where his heart's beating erratically. JJ wore the exact same outfit & both of them were waiting for her down the aisle.
All she could remember of the ceremony was the kiss after the Mayor pronounced them husband & wife. Pano ba naman isang minuto yata siyang hinalikan? His dad & the mayor had to cough exaggeratedly for him to stop. Everyone burst out laughing because of both their guilty expressions. May taong masyadong nag enjoy sa kiss!
When they arrived at the reception by the poolside of a plush luxe hotel, she was awe-struck by the set-up & the amazing flower arrangements. She's also touched because the theme is yellow, her favorite color.

J only released her hand when they were about to eat. They both went around talking to their guests, hopping from table to table. JJ, with the help of his aunts, went around introducing himself & asking everyone to sign the guestbook. Everyone sang to their heart's content, jamming with the live band & dancing to the music.
M felt so much love from everyone and her smile was permanently plastered on her face. She danced with J, JJ, her Tatay, J's dad and Je, then J again. People are asking them to kiss every single minute, clanking their drinking glasses with silwerware to make noise. J happily obliged every single time. She had so much fun, it was a wedding reception but J managed to make it all about her.
Je put his arms around them both and said,
"Excited na ba kayo sa honeymoon? Hinay hinay lang ha baka yumanig!"
"Gago ka talaga, Je! Dito muna kami sa Manila, pa-planuhin pa namin dahil busy sa transition."
M was laughing at their exchange. They both downplayed their honeymoon to everyone citing work as the reason. Di naman kasi pwedeng sabihin na pabebe pa ang bride. But J is a man of his word, she wants time, he'll give her time.

She woke up at 6am and decided to make breakfast for her little family. First morning in their new house and she woke up feeling excited. Her kitchen is a dream, with state of the art appliances. This is her favorite room in the house.
She exchanged morning pleasantries with Manang Virgie, J's yaya since he was a little boy. Both she & Pepe dotes on JJ which makes her instantly grateful for all the love being given to her son.
She jumped when two sweaty arms went around her waist & a peck on her cheek. She almost dropped the laddle she's holding when she turned around to see J shirtless, in just his running shorts, walang damit pang itaas, mga prends! She swallowed hard & was having difficulty breathing as she concentrated on a drop of sweat rolling down his neck to his chest, IN SLOW MOTION.
"Uhmm, good morning! Kain ka na?"
"Inom lang ako water at magpahinga sandali." He said while trying to catch his breath.
"Dito?" Jusko dito ka magpapahinga? Pano ako hihinga? She thought in panic.
"Ha?"
"I mean, san ka galing?"
"I went for a run. San ka natulog kagabi?"
"Sa room ni JJ, di daw sya makatulog, namamahay yata."
"Kawawa naman, pero nakatulog ba sya ng mabuti, ikaw?"
"Oo naman."
Her head is starting to throb because she's trying hard to focus on what she's doing and trying not to look at J's magnificent, muscled and sweaty, naked upper body! Grabe naman kasi, parang sculpture yung cuts ng muscles niya, parang ang sarap haplusin! Tapos yung abs, kingnanay! Gusto kong bilangin yung linya gamit ang dila ko, ehek! Bat ang harot harot ko?
She's looking anywhere but at J, totally avoiding looking at him to save her life. When J noticed this, he wore this smirk and proceeded to outright flirt with her by asking her to help him wipe his sweat off sa likod, eh biglang humarap? Nyetuh!
He's staring at her as she wipes his face, neck & chest with a towel. She's praying she successfully pulled off her nonchalant expression kahit yung heartbeat niya eh 150 beats per minute na yata!
"Shower ka na, breakfast is almost ready."
"Care to join me?" He said softly.
"Ha?"
Di niya talaga maintindihan anong nangyayari dahil sa sobrang lapit ng mukha ni J & she can feel his body heat plus ang bango bango pa ng harot na lalaki na itu! Pure & volatile pheromone!
"Let's shower together?"
Ayun, finally narinig na niya, sabay hampas ng towel sa chest ni J. Sus! Pabebe at pakipot pa, kung alam lang ni J mga iniisip mo, kanina ka pa nakahiga dyan sa center island ng kusina niyo, at baka inatake yung dalawang matandang yaya niyo sa mga pangyayari.
J went nearer, encroaching on her personal space and lifted her face by holding her chin up, waiting until she looked him in the eye, then planted a wet kiss on her lips.
"Shower lang, gutom na gutom na din ako." He said softly.
The way he said gutom na gutom made her squirm, bat parang ang harot? She slumped on a bar stool when he left. Nanlambot ako, mga teh! Physical ang effect. As in! This is just the first day of a lifetime in kalibugan hell! She's wondering how long she'll last.
