Don't Look Back Darling

Chapter 61

The door opened and my mouth opened in shock as I looked at the figure. Niall took a deep breath facing me with tears flooding his eyes. "What the hell have you done Niall?"

I couldn't believe who I was looking at in front of me this is insane. "I-I-" I stuttered my eyes racking their face to make sure I was seeing them right. Two hands were placed on their shoulders moving them over. "Hi" Cameron appeared walking in front of them and over to me. "Cam" I smiled throwing my arms around his neck and he returned it. "Your safe thank god" he whispered hugging me tighter "God I thought he did something to you."

"How'd you get here?" I asked pulling back a little bit, "Mom" he mumbled. My eyes widened a bit "What?" I asked my voice growing quieter. "She found me I don't know how but, I know we don't have a lot of time." Cameron moved aside and my eyes met my moms brown ones. "Paityn" she smiled as tears flooded her eyes as she walked towards me. I couldn't move myself to get out of her reach as she threw her arms around me pulling me in tight. She looked the exact same like when I saw her eight years ago the night she 'died' or so I thought. Long brown hair still pooled over her shoulders but it was now thinner with slight gray at the roots. Her bright brown eyes were now dull and lost of sparkle I've always known.

I felt like the air was knocked out of me as she gently whispered in my ear, "I missed you sweetie, I love you." Disappointment and anger was all I felt in the place of love and joy I thought I would feel being reunited with my mom. I moved my arms gently pushing her embrace off me making her tilt her head giving in confusion. "I can't do this" I whispered looking at Cameron making him bite his lip. Cameron tore his eyes away from me to my mom, "I think it's too much right now mom." I shook my head, "I can't do this, ever I-I-"

Cameron pulled me quickly into a hug, "Shh, don't say that to her right know, please" he begged rubbing my back. I bit my lip gently pulling back from him, "No I-Cameron this is to much" I glanced at my Cameron quickly. I turned to make eye contact with my mom, "You can't just walk back into our lives and, accept us to forgive you like that." My moms mouth dropped open in lose of words, "You've been gone for eight years" I spat.

"I-I-" My mom stuttered trying to find her words,  "I thought you died! What? Is dad alive to?" I hissed. Cameron squeezed my left arm pulling me closer to him, "Cut it out" he growled. "Look Paityn-"

"No. Do you have any idea what you left us with? What Cameron and I have been through? No, you don't. You've just been hiding out in your little Hawaii paradise with-"

Cameron suddenly started pulling me out of the room roughly before I got to finish telling my mom what she needed to hear. Cameron slammed the door in anger, "What the hell is wrong with you?!" He growled. "Me? Cameron were in this mess because of her!" Cameron's eyes were full of anger, "Stop it right know! Just cut it out!" The door opened and my mom walked out, "Oh look who comes running know to protect her kids."

Cameron glared at me, "Shut it" he hissed still squeezing my arm, "What are you going to do?" Cameron turned away pulling me closer to his side. "Look, Paityn I want to explain everything to you-"

"Your eight years late" I spat making her frown,  "I'm sorry mom, she's being rude" Cameron gave me a side look, "Are you kidding me? I'm being-"

"Wow, wow" Niall said stepping out of the room, "Look I'm sorry Paityn. I thought seeing your mum would help with everything." I shook my head, "I don't want to talk to any of you right know." I grabbed my arm away from Cameron, "You can't go anywhere Luke's probably near." Could he have found us already? Probably because my mom is drawing even more attention to us then we need. "Luke? Gary and Cindys kid?" she whispered to herself as her eyes fell to the floor studying the carpeted floor. "What?" I asked taking a step forward suddenly very interested in what she was talking about.
